Abstract: An electrolyte sensor that uses conductive elastomer electrodes. Examples of the intended analytes for sensor use include those found in urine, saliva, blood, feces and spinal fluid, although other analytes exist for electrolyte detection. Conductive elastomer trace electrodes are separated by a gap or channel which can be bridged by an electrolyte and thereby complete an electrical circuit to an alarm or other circuitry. • Publication number: 20110198379
Abstract: A compound conduit containing inner and outer conduits with apertures in the former that are angled to direct jets of fluid in a rearward direction from the inner conduit into the annular space is used to draw sludge or undesirable material from a vessel without imposing a vacuum on the system. In conjunction with the compound conduit is a rotary tube seal that allows the conduit to be mounted to an orifice in a tank wall and pivoted or rotated over a range of angles. A tubing drive mechanism grasps the tubing at locations well removed from the distal end and causes the tubing to travel in the direction of the tubing axis. The gripping members in the mechanism engage the sides of the tubing and are capable of shifting position relative to each other to accommodate changes in the curvature of the tubing.

Abstract: A DDS system is disclosed that is configured to provide a variable clock delay that allows timing of data coming out of the ROM to be adjusted. In one example case, a DDS system is provided that includes a ROM for storing phase-to-amplitude conversion data and generating digital amplitude values corresponding to respective digital phase values, and delay circuitry for adjusting timing of data output by the ROM to compensate for propagation delay of the DDS system. The delay circuitry may include, for instance, delay elements that can be selected alone or in combination to adjust the timing. The timing can be adjusted, for example, by adjusting delay of a clock signal that clocks one or more ROM pipeline registers. The system may include a phase accumulator and DAC, and adjusting the timing may include adjusting delay of a clock signal that clocks one or more DAC pipeline registers.

Abstract: A method and system for providing intensity modulated radiation therapy to a moving target is disclosed. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, a treatment plan for providing radiotherapy using a multi-leaf collimator (“MLC”) comprises a plurality of sub-plans, each of which is optimized for a different phase of target movement. Movements of the treatment target are tracked in real time, and the choice of which sub-plan to implement is made in real time based on the tracked position of the target.
