Abstract: A portable electronic device includes a control unit, an antenna, a switching unit, a multimedia broadcasting unit, a FM unit, and a speaker. The control unit and the antenna are electrically connected to the switching unit. The switching unit is electrically connected to the speaker via the multimedia broadcasting unit and the FM unit. The antenna receives multimedia broadcasting signals and FM signals. The control unit controls the switching unit switch between the multimedia broadcasting unit and the FM unit to receive corresponding signals from the antenna. The speaker outputs the signals from the multimedia broadcasting unit and the FM unit.

Abstract: A system and method of probing work pieces is described. A first and second arm each having a pivot point and a guide end are pivotally coupled together at the respective pivot points. A probe tip holder is coupled to at least one of the first arm or the second arm. A guide means guides movement of the guide ends of the pivotally coupled arms, such that movement of the guide end of the first arm and the second arm move the probe tip holder in a plane parallel to the work piece surface.

Abstract: An integrated circuit (IC) structure includes a semiconductor substrate having a plurality of memory bits including IC identification information and a plurality of alternating metal and via layers thereabove. The IC structure includes a bond pad layer formed over a top one of the metal layers. The bond pad layer includes a plurality of pins connected to respective ones of the plurality of memory bits through the metal and via layers, at least one first pad connected to a higher voltage power supply rail and at least one second pad is connected to a lower voltage power supply rail. The bond pad layer has a plurality of circuit segments therein that each connects a respective one of the plurality of pins to either the at least one first pad or the at least one second pad for programming the IC identification information into the memory bit corresponding to that pin.

Abstract: A media navigation system provides a user interface for navigating and interacting with streamed media objects, including video. The system may employ media markers representing time locations within a media file in addition to images or other representations derived from the media object. The system displays a tile layout representing a sequence of the media at an interval comprising a set of sub intervals corresponding to the tiles, and enables a user to click on the tiles to navigate to a next set of tiles which correspond to a different interval, and which replace the currently displayed tiles on the display. Navigation can include zooming in (smaller interval), zooming out (larger interval) and “panning” (preceding or succeeding interval) at arbitrary intervals. Individual tiles may also include visual indicators of relative importance or activity such as the number of comments associated with a sub interval.

Abstract: Systems, methods and apparatuses for providing a reliable enclosure and seal for a system or a device, such as a lighting fixture, are disclosed. The solution presented utilizes a silicone gasket combined with an o-ring chord, an acrylic optic and an extrusion to provide a water-tight, air-tight and water-proof enclosure for the lighting fixture. The seal created by the enclosure is maintained regardless of any temperature or environmental changes, as well as any changes in sizes of the components of the enclosure due to the temperature changes. The silicone gasket, in combination with one or more o-rings, end caps and the extrusion adjust for any expansion or contraction of any components of the enclosure due to temperature changes of the lighting fixture or any other enclosed apparatus, system or device.

Abstract: An optical input device is applied in an electronic device. The optical input device includes a light source generator and a photosensitive plate. The light source generator has a body and a light source disposed within the body. The photosensitive plate is electrically connected to the electronic device, or is electrically disposed within the electronic device, and is electrically connected to a microprocessor. The light source of the light source generator emits a light ray through the body to form a light pattern image on the photosensitive plate. The photosensitive plate detects a deformation of the light pattern image, and outputs a control signal to the microprocessor correspondingly according to a shape of the light pattern image, enabling the electronic device to execute a corresponding preset function.

Abstract: A data processing system configured to process acquired image data (e.g., as part of a diagnostic imaging apparatus) uses a signal-power estimating unit for estimating signal power by using reference data containing data different from processing-target data and a data processing unit for processing the processing-target data by using a WF (wiener filter) based on the signal power estimated by the signal-power estimating unit.

Abstract: Coatings, particularly primer coatings, for implantable devices or endoluminal prosthesis, such as stents, are provided, including a method of forming the coatings. The coatings can be used for the delivery of an active ingredient or a combination of active ingredients. The primer coatings include diacrylates and polyacrylates.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer program products, for user interface navigation. A method includes receiving first input indicating a first cursor navigation direction in a first visual area of a graphical user interface, the first visual area presenting one or more first content type indicators that are destinations for cursor navigation, selecting a next content type indicator based on the first cursor navigation direction and presenting a second visual area such that the next content type indicator is not visible but one or more other content type indicators are visible. The method includes presenting in the second visual area one or more content thumbnails that are destinations for cursor navigation in the second visual area, receiving second input indicating a second cursor navigation direction in the second visual area, and changing the second visual area to include a next content thumbnail based on the second cursor navigation direction.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for treating an infarcted region of myocardium following acute myocardial infarction by reducing the rate of blood flow through infarcted region, and then injecting a solution containing stem cells, endothelial progenitor cells or mediators of stem cell mobilization, migration and attachment into the effected region so that the stem cells become embedded therein and promote tissue regeneration. In a first embodiment, delivery of the stem cells, endothelial progenitor cells or mediators of stem cell mobilization, migration and attachment is accomplished using a catheter that relies upon antegrade flow through the coronary artery and a flow control catheter placed in the coronary sinus. In an alternative embodiment, the delivery catheter delivers the stem cells in a retrograde manner through the coronary sinus, and the delivery catheter further comprises an occlusion balloon for controlling outflow through the coronary sinus ostium.

Abstract: A microstructural feature and material property monitoring device for a metallic material that can easily adjust relative position between an irradiation position of laser beams applied to the metallic material to propagate pulsed ultrasonic waves in the metallic material and detection position of a laser interferometer, and therefore can accurately monitor the microstructural feature and material property of the metallic material. The device relatively moves the irradiation position of the laser beams generated by a laser oscillator and the detection position of the laser interferometer. The irradiation position of the laser beams generated from a laser oscillator and the detection position of the laser interferometer are controlled to be aligned with a relative position according to the microstructural feature and material property of the metallic material based on the time from the transmission of the pulsed ultrasonic waves to the detection by the laser interferometer.

Abstract: Various embodiments described herein provide systems, methods, software, and data structures that allow a page description language reader application, such as Adobe® Acrobat®, to provide a view of the assets compressed within a compressed archive. These and other embodiments including applications that may interleave one or more compressed archives within a page description language file, such as a PDF file. This interleaving leverages properties of both compressed archive files and page description language files to insert object markers around compressed assets within the compressed archives and references to at least some of the object markers in an index portion of the page description language files. As a result, compressed assets of compressed archives included in a page description language file package may be viewed within the listing of assets of the page description language file. These and other embodiments are described in greater detail below.

Abstract: A system for connecting circuit boards is provided. A plurality of overlapping spaced apart circuit boards have a plurality of conductive pins passing through holes in the circuit boards. A connector includes a flexible sheet insulator and a plurality of conductive surfaces separated and supported by the flexible insulator. At least one of the conductive surfaces has a hole there through and a bent compliant lead extending there from. The hole engages one of the pins, and the complaint lead connects to one of the circuit boards.

Abstract: A sludge filter is comprised of a mesh filter media secured to a support net. The support net includes a front surface adjacent the filter media and a rear surface opposite the filter media, the rear surface having a plurality of outwardly extending nodes to define flow channels for horizontal and vertical fluid flow intermediate the net and a container surface. The sludge filter is attached directly to the walls or floor of a container. In a preferred embodiment a border of the sludge filter comprises one part of a two-part fastener system with a second part of the two-part fastener system attached to a container along the perimeter of the filter coverage area, so that the filter medium may be removably attached to the container.

Abstract: A pluggable architecture allows security and business logic plugins to be inserted into a security service hosted by a server, and to control access to one or more secured resources on that server, on another server within the security domain, or between security domains. The security service may act as a focal point for security enforcement, and access rights determination, and information used or determined within one login process can flow transparently and automatically to other login processes. Entitlements denote what a particular user may or may not do with a particular resource, in a particular context. Entitlements reflect not only the technical aspects of the secure environment (the permit or deny concept), but can be used to represent the business logic or functionality required by the server provider. In this way entitlements bridge the gap between a simple security platform, and a complex business policy platform.

Abstract: A set of extruded panels is provided for constructing a form-work for concrete. The set includes a plurality of first, second and connecting wall panels. The first wall panels are arranged edge to edge to form a first wall. The second wall panels are arranged edge to edge to form a second wall generally parallel to the first wall. The connecting wall panels are arranged to span transversely between the first and second walls. Each first wall panel incorporates an outer wall extending between first and second edges of the first wall panel, and an inner wall extending between first and second edges of the first wall panel, the inner wall spaced transversely from the outer wall and located relatively more proximate to the second wall panel. Each first wall panel incorporates a plurality of support walls extending transversely between the outer and inner walls.

Abstract: A system and method is described for providing an interactive rich media information service to users of mobile devices. The rich media information is presented to users in a plurality of interactive rich media channels. A subscriber-specific data stream is received at the mobile device containing channel data for each of the rich media channel that the user has subscribed to. The channel data is separated and stored corresponding to each such subscribed-to channel. An interactive multimedia runtime container (iMRC). is executed on the mobile device for each subscribed-to channel. The rich media channels are played on the iMRC and displayed on the display of the mobile device. Using the user interface elements of the mobile device, the user may navigate through the information on the channels, navigate between different channels, subscribe or un-subscribe to channels, and enter user preferences for further tailoring the information presented in the subscribed-to channels.

Abstract: Ribbons containing e.g. inorganic NMOS devices are assembled in electrical contact with ribbons containing e.g. PMOS devices (preferably organic) to enable flexible electronic textile circuits to be inexpensive and practical for a wide variety of functions. The use of ribbons provides flexibility, reduces costs, and allows testing during assembly and different processes to be efficiently used for different components. This is apparently the first time that ribbons (especially inorganic-device-containing ribbons) have been interconnected to form a flexible CMOS electronic textile.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a system that facilitates disassembling a structure tree containing structure information for a document. During operation, the system assigns unique identifiers to nodes in the structure tree. The system also selectively labels each node in the structure tree with a unique pathname from the root of the structure tree, wherein in the pathname specifies the position of the node in the structure tree. Next, the system merges nodes from the structure tree into components of the document, which contain content items for the document, instead of storing the structure tree separately from the components. In this way, the components can be incorporated into or extracted from the document without losing associated structure information for the document.

Abstract: A liquid separator for a respiratory gas sample analyzer includes a closed container having a liquid trap filter chamber integral with the container. The liquid trap filter chamber includes an inlet compartment and an outlet compartment. The inlet compartment is interposed between a sample inlet port and a sample outlet port and includes a gas permeable, liquid impermeable filter element for separating liquid from a gas sample, the liquid separated from the gas sample passing to a collection chamber. The outlet compartment includes a further gas permeable, liquid impermeable trap filter element which is interposed between the collection chamber and a low pressure port, for preventing the flow of liquid through the output compartment to the low pressure port.
