Abstract: A solution is described which provides an airport with the tools to accurately manage all sources of airside revenues, including operational revenues and capital programs. The system of the present invention relies on the acquisition of any and all data related to the operations, property, lease, and revenue management of an airport, including aircraft tracking data. This data is then stored in a central database where it is processed, sorted, and stored for later retrieval. The data may exist in a number of forms including real-time streams, tabular, or in the form of a database. From this data, airport revenue information can be accurately managed.
Abstract: In accordance with embodiments of the invention, a method is provided for performing a storage operation in a pipeline storage system in which one or more data streams containing data to be stored are written into data chunks. The method includes generating an encryption key associated with a first archive file to be stored when encryption is requested for the storage operation, encrypting the archive data from the data stream using the encryption key to create an encrypted data chunk when a data stream containing the archive file is processed in the pipeline storage system, storing the encrypted data chunk on a storage medium, and storing the encryption key in a manner accessible during a restore operation of the encrypted data chunk.
Abstract: In one embodiment, a transmitter (a) caches one or more MAC-d PDUs received from a network layer, (b) selects a subset of the MAC-d PDUs for combination into a MAC-e PDU, (c) generates the MAC-e PDU from the subset of selected MAC-d PDUs, (d) caches a data structure to allow re-generation of the MAC-e PDU, wherein the re-generation does not rely on any cached copy of the MAC-e PDU, (e) transmits the MAC-e PDU for receipt by a receiver; and (f) determines whether an ACK was received, wherein if an ACK was not received, then the MAC-e PDU is re-generated using the cached data structure and the subset of selected MAC-d PDUs, and steps (e) and (f) are repeated, and if an ACK was received, then the memories used to cache the data structure and the first subset of MAC-d PDUs are freed.

Abstract: A web server (1) responds to a request message from a remote user device (2) by dynamically generating web page code capable of being interpreted by the user device. A device type identifier (45) is extracted from the request message and is input to a code generating engine (21) which interprets stored instructions for generating the web page code with reference to selected device dependent information corresponding to the device type identifier. The web page information is stored as a content document comprising a set of instructions written in a script language. The web server generates web pages in an appropriate form for each user device without the need to convert web pages from one form to another.

Abstract: A line of sight antenna supported in an upturned terminal winglet or similar vertical member of an aircraft is disclosed. An aperture is formed in the conductive winglet or vertical member, and the antenna is supported within the aperture by a support mechanism such that the antenna is exposed to the line of sight transmissions. A non-conductive covering may also be used for the aperture. Using the cover, the antenna within the winglet can be configured so that it does not alter the appearance or aerodynamic characteristics of the aircraft. Alternatively, the antenna can be coupled to the outside of the winglet or vertical member if cosmetics are not a concern. The frequency range of the antenna can be tuned to cover desired frequency ranges. The antenna position at the winglet maintains a large physical separation from fuselage-mounted antennas thereby reducing interference.
Abstract: A method is provided that includes: determining a minimum clock cycle that can be used to propagate a signal about the critical cycle in a circuit design; wherein the critical cycle is a cycle in the design that has a highest proportionality of delay to number of registers; determining for a circuit element in the circuit design, sequential slack associated with the circuit element; wherein the sequential slack represents a minimum delay from among respective maximum delays that can be added to respective structural cycles of which the circuit element is a constituent, based upon the determined limit upon clock cycle duration; using the sequential slack to ascertain sequential optimization based design flexibility throughout multiple stages of a design flow.

Abstract: In a preferred embodiment, a battery charging system in the form of an integrated circuit (IC), incorporated in a consumer electronic device, has a charging controller, a charging current generator, a junction temperature sensor, and a device current monitor. The junction temperature sensor provides to the charging controller a measured junction temperature of the IC. The charging current generator utilizes fractional synthesis, which involves regulating the duty cycles of multiple current sources, to achieve increased current resolution. The charging controller regulates the charging current provided by the charging current generator based on the relation of the measured junction temperature to three or more threshold temperatures.
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for implementing an analytical approach to digital volumetric laminar tomography. The volumetric data visualizations generally take the form of volumetric images which approximate the spatial distribution of an x-ray attenuation coefficient throughout the region of interest in the object, such as a person, under examination. These visualizations are produced from a set of basic two dimensional data. One numerical technique employed in this regard takes the form of a process of convolution and back projection, where the convolution function is determined through the use of various analytic and empirical techniques.
