  • Publication number: 20160132737
Abstract: A finger guide device that positions a finger (or minutiae containing digit) of a human subject on a fingerprint sensor in a manner optimal for the data capture operation of authentication of identification of said subject, wherein a relevant portion of the finger is in alignment with a sensor or scanner. The finger guide device may also be used for enrollment of the initial fingerprint data into the system. The device may contain an outer surface ridge which feels somewhat uncomfortable due to application of a high pressure per square inch on small areas of the finger when the finger is incorrectly positioned to encourage correct placement of the finger.

  • Patent number: 9300214
Abstract: A multiphase DC-DC converter includes multiple groups of first and second LLC power trains coupled in parallel which collectively provide an output voltage to a load. A voltage feedback control loop senses an output voltage for the LLC converter and generates an identical reference current signal for each of the multiple groups of power trains, the signals representing a reference current based on the sensed output voltage, wherein an active current sharing operation is provided between each of the groups. A local current control loop for each of the groups generates PWM control signals to each of the respective first and second power trains based on the reference current, the PWM control signals having an identical frequency but out of phase with respect to each other, wherein a passive current sharing operation is provided within each of the plurality of power groups.

  • Patent number: 9253967
Abstract: The snag-resistant fishing lure is designed to minimize the chances of the lure becoming ensnared. The lure has a jig and a blade attached to the blade in a configuration that limits the side-to-side movement of the blade, thereby preventing the jig from rolling to a hook-downward position prone to snagging. A centrally aligned hole is positioned close to the front edge of the blade member. An eyelet extending from the jig body is attached through an aperture in the blade. The blade is limited in its side-to-side movement by contact between the blade edge and either the jig body or the eyelet. The limited side-to-side movement of the blade creates a quick, controlled, oscillating blade action that imparts a natural swimming motion to the lure, emulating prey species movements.

  • Patent number: 9258133
Abstract: Methods and systems for anonymous digital identification are disclosed and may include detecting the presence of a first communication device associated with a first set of content that is distinguishable from an identifier associated with the first communication device, detecting the presence of a second communication device associated with a second set of content that is distinguishable from an identifier associated with the second communication device, and in response to a determination that the devices are geographically proximate to one another, providing matched content to at least one of the first and second devices. The matched content may be based at least in part on the first set of content, the second set of content, and a shared or complementary interest associated with the first and second devices. The interest may have been previously expressed by a user of the first or second devices.

  • Patent number: 9202621
Abstract: A slotted bobbin magnetic component device includes a bobbin having an elongated bobbin tube with transverse slots. One or more substantially flat electrically conductive winding inserts are inserted radially onto the bobbin tube via the transverse slots. At least one detent positioned on the winding insert secures the winding insert on the bobbin and prevents the winding insert from becoming misplaced relative to the bobbin. One or more flanges protruding from the bobbin engage one or more corresponding recesses on the winding insert to prevent angular movement of the winding insert relative to the bobbin. One or more primary conductive winding coils are disposed about the bobbin in the gaps between adjacent winding inserts, the coils being formed by axially winding numerous layers over each other in alternating axial winding directions.

  • Patent number: 9167558
Abstract: A system for exchanging messages, position data, and status information among subscribers of different cellular providers. Cell phones and other wireless devices with GPS receivers are associated with different cellular carriers. These wireless devices support a Buddy Watch application that communicates with a remote Buddy Watch Server outside of the carriers' networks. The Buddy Watch servers allows subscribers to associate themselves with a group of “buddies,” a subset of the subscribers serviced by the Buddy Watch server but not necessarily by the same cellular carrier. The server than allows each subscriber to monitor the status of his or her buddies, and to communicate messages and position data.

  • Patent number: 9042608
Abstract: A data security system comprises a host processor, and a plurality of remote computers. Each remote computer provides biometric authentication of a user prior to responding to the user request for data access. The remote computers are handheld when in operational mode. A sensor in the handheld computer captures a biometric image while the remote computer is being used. The biometric sensor is positioned in such a way that the sensor enables the capture of the biometric image continually during computer usage with each request for access to secure data. The biometric authentication occurs in a seamless manner and is incidental to the data request enabling user identity authentication with each request to access secure data.

  • Patent number: 8862207
Abstract: A liquid injector (400) injects a medical liquid into a patient whose fluoroscopic image data is to be picked up and generates injection history data corresponding to the injection, and a control box (500) registers the injection history data in a RIS (100) in association with imaging order data. Accordingly, the RIS (100) also stores the injection history data associated with the imaging order data, and therefore the injection history data can also be confirmed based on the imaging order data.

  • Publication number: 20140304046
Abstract: A platform for universal recognition (UR) is described. A consumer has one or more UR numbers, each of which is uniquely recognizable within the UR platform. During a transaction with a merchant, the consumer uses a non-payment token that presents a UR number or uses a payment token that presents a payment number associated with a UR number. A membership identifier used to recognize the consumer within a membership program of the merchant is retrieved and routed to the merchant. Each UR number begins with a six-digit Issuer Identification Number (IIN) which identifies the UR platform from which the UR number was issued.

  • Patent number: 8798645
Abstract: A system for exchanging GPS or other position data between devices for purposes of group activities, child location monitoring, work group coordination, dispatching of employees etc. Cell phones and other wireless devices with GPS receivers have loaded therein a Buddy Watch application that communicates with a remote Buddy Watch Server. The server gets or maintains position data for the wireless devices. When the server receives a request from a first device to set up a position-sharing relationship between it and a second device, the server calculates a path between the devices and transmits the path to each device. One or both users can then approach the other along the path. During this process, the server can receive updated position data from one or both devices, and if necessary recalculate the path based on the updated data.

  • Patent number: 8766221
Abstract: A system and method are provided for bidirectional communications between a master device and one or more slave devices. Each slave device is coupled to first and second opto-isolators which are effective to provide galvanic isolation of the slave device from the master device. An encoder circuit is coupled between the master device and the first opto-isolators. A decoder circuit is coupled between the master device and the second opto-isolators. The master device generates transmissions to the slave devices along a first low logic path including the encoder and the first opto-isolators, wherein the decoder and the second opto-isolators are non-responsive to signals on the first path. The slave devices generate transmissions to the master device along a second low logic path including the second opto-isolators and the decoder, wherein the encoder and the first opto-isolators are non-responsive to signals on the second path.
