Abstract: A method of providing media content to a target media device is disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes obtaining ambient attribute information for at least one ambient attribute at the location of the target media device, selecting a media content item from at least one source of media content items according to a correlation between the ambient attribute information for the at least one ambient attribute and a set of ambient attribute selection conditions associated with the media content item and providing the selected media content item to the target media device for output and/or storage.
