Abstract: In particular embodiments, a Cross-Border Visualization Generation System is configured to: (1) identify one or more data assets associated with a particular entity; (2) analyze the one or more data assets to identify one or more data elements stored in the identified one or more data assets; (3) define a plurality of physical locations and identify, for each of the identified one or more data assets, a respective particular physical location of the plurality of physical locations; (4) analyze the identified one or more data elements to determine one or more data transfers between the one or more data systems in different particular physical locations; (5) determine one or more regulations that relate to the one or more data transfers; and (6) generate a visual representation of the one or more data transfers based at least in part on the one or more regulations.

Abstract: In particular embodiments, a consent receipt management system is configured to track and analyze one or more attributes of a user interface via which data subjects are requested to provide consent (e.g., consent to process, collect, and/or store personal data) in order to determine which of the one or more attributes are more likely to result in a successful receipt of consent from a data subject. For example, the system may be configured to analyze one or more instances in which one or more data subjects provided or did not provide consent in order to identify particular attributes and/or factors that may increase a likelihood of a data subject providing consent.

Abstract: Data processing systems and methods, according to various embodiments, are adapted for mapping various questions regarding a data breach from a master questionnaire to a plurality of territory-specific data breach disclosure questionnaires. The answers to the questions in the master questionnaire are used to populate the territory-specific data breach disclosure questionnaires and determine whether disclosure is required in territory. The system can automatically notify the appropriate regulatory bodies for each territory where it is determined that data breach disclosure is required.

Abstract: A consent receipt management system is configured to: (1) automatically cause a prior, validly received consent to expire (e.g., in response to a triggering event); and (2) in response to causing the previously received consent to expire, automatically trigger a recapture of consent. In particular embodiments, the system may, for example, be configured to cause a prior, validly received consent to expire in response to one or more triggering events.

Abstract: Data processing systems and methods, according to various embodiments, are adapted for automatically assessing the level of security and/or privacy risk associated with doing business with a particular vendor or other entity and for generating training material for such vendors. In various embodiments, the systems may automatically obtain and use any suitable information to assess such risk levels including, for example: (1) any security and/or privacy certifications held by the vendor; (2) the terms of one or more contracts between a particular entity and the vendor; (3) the results of one or more privacy impact assessments for the vendor; and/or (4) any other suitable data. The system may be configured to automatically approve or reject a particular vendor based on the assessed risk level associated with the vendor and this information may be automatically communicated to an entity considering doing business with the vendor and/or the vendor itself.

Abstract: In particular embodiments, a data processing data inventory generation system is configured to: (1) generate a data model (e.g., a data inventory) for one or more data assets utilized by a particular organization; (2) generate a respective data inventory for each of the one or more data assets; and (3) map one or more relationships between one or more aspects of the data inventory, the one or more data assets, etc. within the data model. In particular embodiments, a data asset (e.g., data system, software application, etc.) may include, for example, any entity that collects, processes, contains, and/or transfers personal data (e.g., such as a software application, “internet of things” computerized device, database, website, data-center, server, etc.). The system may be configured to identify particular data assets and/or personal data in data repositories using any suitable intelligent identity scanning technique.

Abstract: In particular embodiments, a Data Transfer Risk Identification System may be configured to analyze one or more data systems (e.g., data assets), identify data transfers between/among those systems, apply data transfer rules to each data transfer record, perform a data transfer assessment on each data transfer record based on the data transfer rules to be applied to each data transfer record, and calculate a risk score for the data transfer based at least in part on the one or more data transfer risks associated with the data transfer record.

Abstract: Responding to a data subject access request includes receiving the request and identifying the requestor and source. In response to identifying the requestor and source, a computer processor determines whether the data subject access request is subject to fulfillment constraints, including whether the requestor or source is malicious. If so, then the computer processor denies the request or requests a processing fee prior to fulfillment. If not, then the computer processor fulfills the request.

Abstract: In particular embodiments, in response a data subject submitting a request to delete their personal data from an organization's systems, the system may: (1) automatically determine where the data subject's personal data is stored; and (2) in response to determining the location of the data (which may be on multiple computing systems), automatically facilitate the deletion of the data subject's personal data from the various systems (e.g., by automatically assigning a plurality of tasks to delete data across multiple business systems to effectively delete the data subject's personal data from the systems).

Abstract: In various embodiments, fulfilling a data subject access request may be particularly costly. In some embodiments, a company may store data regarding a particular data subject in multiple different locations for a plurality of different reasons as part of a plurality of different processing and other business activities. For example, a particular data subject may be both a customer and an employee of a particular company or organization. Accordingly, in some embodiments, fulfilling a data subject access request for a particular data subject may involve a plurality of different information technology (IT) professionals in a plurality of different departments of a particular company or organization. As such, it may be useful to determine a cost of a particular data subject access request (e.g., particularly because, in some cases, a data subject is entitled to a response to their data subject access request as a matter of right at no charge).

Abstract: A consent receipt management and data processing system may be configured to provide a centralized repository of consent receipt preferences for a plurality of data subjects. In various embodiments, the system is configured to provide an interface to the plurality of data subjects for modifying consent preferences and capture consent preference changes. The system may provide the ability to track the consent status of pending and confirmed consents. In other embodiments, the system may provide a centralized repository of consent receipts that a third-party system may reference when taking one or more actions related to a processing activity.

Consent receipt management systems may be implemented in the context of any suitable privacy management system that is configured to ensure compliance with one or more legal or industry standards related to the collection and/or storage of private information. In particular embodiments, the system is configured to manage one or more consent receipts between a data subject and an entity.

Abstract: A system and method for determining consent user interface validity for a provided consent user interface of a web form presenting consent information, comprising: accessing a consent user interface presented on a web form; determining one or more configuration attributes of the consent user interface; accessing one or more privacy regulations associated with presenting consent information; comparing the one or more configuration attributes of the consent user interface to each of the one or more privacy regulations; determining whether the consent user interface is compliant with each of the one or more privacy regulations; and in response to determining that the consent user interface is not compliant with one or more privacy regulations, flagging the consent user interface.
