  • Patent number: 4901666
Abstract: A cover for forming a space for coating is provided above an electroconductive belt conveyor for adjusting an electric field at an end portion of a flat plate-like object to be coated, electrostatic powder coating guns pointed at the object to be coated on the belt conveyor in the space for coating are provided, and means for introducing air into the space for coating and means for exhausting the air are respectively provided. As a result, the strength of the electric field formed from the electrostatic powder coating guns to the electroconductive belt conveyor and the object to be coated is made uniform through their entire surface so that the thickness of a powder layer to be adhered to the object to be coated is made uniform from its central portion to an end portion. Consequently, the waste of the powder coating material is prevented, and local cracks in a portion having a great thickness generated when the coated object is bent are prevented.

  • Patent number: 4898116
Abstract: A powder coating booth a function of supplying air though its ceiling. Sidewalls of the booth is formed from an insulating material or a semiconductor. A belt conveyor is disposed at the bottom of the booth. An electric field is formed so that it extends from a paint gun to the conveyor belt. The majority of oversprayed powder paint produced during painting becomes attached to the upper surface of a portion of the conveyor belt, is carried, together with this belt portion, to the outside of the booth, and is recovered from the conveyor by a blowing-type of static eliminator, thereby minimizing the mount of oversprayed powder paint mixed in an exhaust of the booth drawn through the sidewall.

  • Patent number: 4743940
Abstract: A thermal fixing roller for use in a copying machine and a method for manufacturing the thermal fixing roller are disclosed. An insulator layer is formed on an outer surface of a cylindrical metallic pipe, a masking wire material is wound in a spiral manner on the surface of the insulator layer and a heat-generating resistor is formed by spray coating heat-generating resistor material on the insulator and wire surfaces. Thereafter the wire material is removed to leave a groove at its trace, and thereby the above-mentioned heat-generating resistor can be formed in a spiral shape. By choosing pitches at the opposite end portions of this spiral resistor smaller than that at the central portion thereof, uniform temperature is maintained over the entire length of the thermal fixing roller. Also by forming a cross-section configuration of the masking wire material in a rectangular shape, it is allowed to reduce the width of the above-mentioned groove to minimum.

  • Patent number: 4654004
Abstract: A controller for a clinker cooler for cooling high temperature clinker supplied from a rotary kiln by controlling the quantity of high temperature clinker cooling air at a constant value comprising maintaining the pressure at the rear side of a baffle plate mounted in the cooler constant by varying the opening of a damper of a cooler exhaust fan and the rotating speed of the cooler exhaust fan, and controlling the pressure of a kiln outlet hood by the quantity of clinker cooling air of the all air chambers of the cooler except for the first chamber on the kiln side of the baffle plate. Thus, the variations in the cooler exhaust amount and the secondary air flow rate occurring in the prior-art control means are reduced to stabilize the steps, to improve the quality of the clinker and to reduce the thermal quantity consumption per unit.
