Abstract: A system, method, and computer readable medium for asynchronous live migration of applications between two or more servers. The computer readable medium includes computer-executable instructions for execution by a processing system. Primary applications runs on primary hosts and one or more replicated instances of each primary application run on one or more backup hosts. Asynchronous live migration is provided through a combination of process replication, logging, barrier synchronization, checkpointing, reliable messaging and message playback. The live migration is transparent to the application and requires no modification to the application, operating system, networking stack or libraries.

Abstract: A method, system and program product for printer driver management in an enterprise network. Each requested printer driver is tested in a controlled environment to determine if the driver is compatible with at least one other driver in a set of drivers. The tested printer driver is conditioned for inclusion in a central repository that stores a plurality of sets of versioned drivers, if the printer driver is determined to be compatible. The tested driver and at least one associated file are packaged and stored in the central repository. The tested driver and associated file are deployed to at least one server hosting a distributed file share. The tested driver and associated file are downloaded to at least one print server. Driver files are touched with a date and time stamp so that workstations will automatically download updated printer drivers from the print server.

Abstract: A method and apparatus of establishing a network connection for P2P communications is disclosed. According to one example, a method of establishing a network connection may include establishing an initial data connection between a first network device and a second network device via a third network device, the third network device providing an initial communication channel required to exchange setup messaging between the first network device and the second network device. Other operations may include establishing another data connection between the first network device and the second device after the setup messaging is exchanged, the another connection being independent of the third network device, and transferring data messages between the first network device and the second network device via the another connection. Once the P2P connection is established, the initial data connection may be removed.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for automated configuration of a set of resources for hosting a virtual machine at a particular node in a hosting system. The hosting system includes several nodes for hosting virtual machines. The method, at a first virtual machine operating using a first set of resources of the particular node, receives a user-specified virtual machine configuration for a second virtual machine to be hosted on a second set of resources of the particular node. The method retrieves, to the first virtual machine, a software image from a computer readable hardware medium storing several software images based on the user-specified virtual machine configuration. The method modifies the retrieved software image according to the user-specified virtual machine configuration. The method configures the second set resources using the modified software image.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to a technique for analyzing data records using a touch screen interface. A touch event is received from the touch screen interface. In response to receiving the touch event, at least one data record is selected from a plurality of data records in a time chart, the time chart including at least one time line relating to at least one data object, the plurality of data records being plotted on the at least one time line based on a time parameter of each of the plurality of data records. Information relating to the selected at least one data record is processed based on the time parameter.

The example method may include processing a data message into multiple message blocks each representing a portion of the data message, and assigning the multiple message blocks to a corresponding set of multiple data files. Abstract: Femtocell coverage can be extended across a coverage area by providing a cluster of femtocell access points (FAPs). Each FAP is independently registered with a core network and provisioned with a location area code common to each FAP. At hand-in from the macrocell network, an association is made between the mobile station and the hand-in FAP, which becomes an anchor FAP for the duration of the mobile station's presence within the cluster. Calls between the mobile station and the core network are routed via a servicing FAP of the cluster and the anchor FAP.

One example provides retrieving first user data from a memory location, assigning a category to the first user data based on a memory location of the first user data and/or a context of the first user data, applying a weight to the first user data based on at least one of the category assigned to the first user data and the memory location, and also assigning the weighted first user data to a user interest log. The result may provide optimized results in subsequent search operations.

Abstract: A privacy enforcement engine conducts a process that evaluates user privacy preferences against the privacy policy of a service provider. The engine works in conjunction with an identity selector. The identity selector filters user identity information cards to determine which ones satisfy the requirements of a security policy. The engine identifies privacy preferences that are relevant to the user identity information specified by the successfully filtered cards. The engine evaluates these privacy preferences against the privacy policy, to provide its own filtering operation relative to the exercise of privacy controls. The cards that pass the filtering operation conducted by the engine are deemed available for disclosure.

Abstract: A user-portable computing device configured as a smart card enables a user to carry identification information and to generate security tokens for use in authenticating the user to a service provider. The device includes memory for storing user identities as information cards that are exported to a host computer, presented to a user in visual form, and then selected for use in the authentication process. A security token service installed on the device issues a security token in response to a token request sent from the host computer that references the selected user identity. The security token service uses user attribute information stored on the user device to compose the claim assertions needed to issue the security token. The token is returned to the host computer and used to facilitate the authentication process.
