Patents Assigned to Optima-Maschinenfabrik Dr. Buhler GmbH & Co.
  • Patent number: 6176366
Abstract: An apparatus for the supply of bags formed into stacks to a point where in each case the top bag of the stack is to be opened, contains two parallel conveyors, e.g. in the form of revolving chains, which are synchronously driven. The stacks are held together by two holding members. The holding members are so inserted with a widened foot in the holders of the conveyor that they can be slid out of the holders again through a stop member. These holders have a small mutual spacing, so that the stacks of bags can be juxtaposed on the apparatus with a small reciprocal spacing.

  • Patent number: 5950404
Abstract: An apparatus for packing articles contains successively in a conveying direction a feed station, where the articles to be packed are fed into the installation, a station for opening the pack and a station for sealing the filled pack. The two stations, optionally also a compressing station, are successively located on rails, to which they can be fixed in random positions. Consequently it is possible to modify the mutual spacings of the stations and the absolute positions of the stations. This makes it possible to adapt the apparatus to different pack sizes, different articles to be packed and further differing circumstances, whilst still allowing short conveying paths.

  • Patent number: 5740843
Abstract: A device for filling containers contains a transfer mechanism drivable by a servodrive and which cyclically moves the containers initially to a filling station and then to a balance. By reverse rotation and optionally subsequent forward rotation of the servodrive by a small angle of e.g. 1.degree., it is possible to disengage the transfer mechanism from the containers, so that the latter can be weighed on the balance, without the measured result being falsified by friction between the transfer mechanism and the containers.By multiple rotating backwards and forwards the servodrive by a small angle, it is possible to vibrate the container, so that bridges and the like forming in the material to be filled can be eliminated.

  • Patent number: 5667108
Abstract: An apparatus for dosing volumes and/or weights of a free-flowing product contains a shaft formed by four fixed walls. At the lower end of the shaft is provided a rotary flap or valve, which can be closed and opened by a motor drive. Rotation takes place about an axis located in the vicinity of the rear wall of the shaft. The rotary valve can be opened to randomly selectable opening positions and fixed there.

  • Patent number: 5597285
Abstract: An apparatus for forming stacks of individual articles, particularly diapers, contains a supply mechanism, which transfers the diapers successively and tangentially to a transfer device. The transfer device contains a plurality of revolving, tangentially positioned receptacles, which individually receive the articles. At a sequencing station the articles are then radially slid out of the receptacles, so that with a low impact speed and without spacing they form a stack.

  • Patent number: 5411174
Abstract: An emptying balance contains a product flow setting device, which contains a rotary slide valve. The angle between a rotary slide valve wall and the facing fixed wall is consequently dependent on the opening position of the rotary slide valve. A fine blocking flap is also provided which is opened by means of two pressure cylinders arranged in series, and which are individually controllable. For subsequent metering of small product quantities only one of the two pressure cylinders is operated and this only leads to a limited opening of the fine blocking flap.

  • Patent number: 4649259
Abstract: A device for welding foils, webs or bags having differing thickness along a line to be welded at right angles to a conveying direction includes a pair of elongated welding dies movable relative to one another and one of which has an elongated, periodically heatable electric resistance heating element having serially-connected sections of differing electrical resistance along its length defined by zonal variations in cross sectional area of the heating element, e.g., areas of differing heating element width. Each section of differing resistance corresponds in length and position to the differing thickness along the line to be welded and is so dimensioned that, prior to initial contact with that line to be welded, the heating element has a higher temperature in the zones of lesser cross-sectional area corresponding to the thicker areas of the line to be welded than at a the at the zones of greater cross sectional area corresponding to the thinner areas thereof.
