Abstract: The invention relates to a USB stick comprising an oblong body which comprises electronic components and a USB connector electrically connected to the electronic components, the oblong body comprising a first part and a second part which are fixed to each other by means of a hinge connection, the first part comprising the USB connector and being rotatable with respect to the second part between a storage position in which the USB connector is stored inside the oblong body and a first use position in which the USB connector extends from the oblong body, the hinge mechanism comprising a spring mechanism for moving the first part. The electronic components are included in the second part of the oblong body and the USB connector is connected through to the second part by means of a connecting cable at the hinge connection.

Abstract: A system and method for trading derivatives in penny increments while disseminating quotes for derivatives in nickel/dime increments is disclosed. A trading engine receives quotes for a derivative in penny increments from at least one entity. The trading engine rounds out the quotes for the derivative in penny increments to quotes for the derivative in nickel/dime increments. The quotes in nickel/dime increments are aggregated and disseminated. The trading engine receives bids and offers to take positions in the derivative based on the aggregate quotes for the derivative in nickel/dime increments and executes trades for the derivative by matching bids and offers to buy and sell positions in the derivative.

Abstract: A system and method of allocating rights for quoting issues on a trading facility such as an exchange is described. The method may include providing market participants such as remote market makers with a listing of issues available for remote quote streaming where the available issues are ranked according to predetermined trading parameters. A market participant requests allocations of rights to certain issues and the request is filtered according to a value associated with the ranking of the selected issues. The system includes an issue selection database having a listing of issues available for trading where each issue is ranked based on a trading parameter. An issue selection communication module communicates with the issue selection database and is configured to list available issues and rankings. An issue allocation filter receives a market participant request and compares the selected issues in that request to one or more exchange-based rules.

Abstract: Silicon-containing products, such as silicon, silicon carbide and silicon nitride, containing less than 0.01 weight percent total mineral impurities and selectively determined carbon-to-silicon ratios. The products are derived from plant matter, such as rice hulls and rice straw, containing at least three weight percent silica. Methods are provided for making such high purity silicon-containing products by leaching silica-containing plant matter with aqueous sulfuric acid under controlled temperatures, pressures and reaction times to remove minerals and metals while adjusting the mole ratio of fixed carbon to silica, and then thermally treating under controlled conditions to produce the desired product.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of transferring an image of a mobile telephony device named transmitter (T) to another mobile telephony device named receiver (R), the method comprising of step (1) for the preparation of the transfer in which the user selects an image (P) stored in a memory of the transmitter (T), a receiver (R) is selected after a searching phase and a radio frequency communication is established between the transmitter and the receiver, step (3) of validation of this transfer by the user and step (2) of effective transfer of the selected image (P) in which begins the effective transfer of the image. The method is characterized in that the said step (2) of effective transfer of the selected image (P) follows step (1) of preparation of the transfer of this image (P) and is prior to step (3) of validation of the transfer by the user. The present invention also relates to an image transfer system, a mobile telephony device and a computer program.

Abstract: A welding machine that includes a machine frame having an opening permitting access to an interchangeable tooling module installed on the machine. The welding machine includes one or more light curtains covering the opening to disable operation of one or more welding stations on the tooling module if the light curtain is breached by an operator, robot, or other object. The welding machine includes a selector arm attached to the machine frame at a location between a first end and a second end of the opening. The selector arm can be moved into and out of position at the opening to selectively define either a single light curtain across the opening or a pair of adjacent light curtains that permit separate operation and access to separate welding stations behind each of the two light curtains.

Abstract: Systems and methods for creating and disseminating a SKEW index based on a statistical property reflecting the skewness of an underlying asset and creating and trading derivative investment products based on the SKEW index are disclosed. In one aspect, a SKEW index associated with an underlying asset is calculated. The SKEW index is accessed and a SKEW derivative is created based on the SKEW index. Information associated width the SKEW derivative is then transmitted for display.

Abstract: A method of creating and trading packaged standard option collars on an exchange is provided, as well as a trading facility for trading such packaged standard option collars. Collars are created by identifying an underlying asset, a first leg of a collar is determined by determining the desired strike price for the first leg and selecting a standard option contract traded on the exchange having a strike price closest to the desired strike price. The second leg is determined by selecting another standard option, the opposite of the first leg, having an option price substantially offsetting the option price of the first leg. Once the legs of the collar have been selected the collar package may be listed on the exchange, and orders for the collars may be processed by matching orders for opposite positions in the collar.
