  • Patent number: 8089697
Abstract: A method for making a prismatic laminate includes the steps of: a) forming a back-coating roller having a roller surface with a plurality of recesses arranged in a predetermined pattern and produced by laser holography; b) preparing a prismatic structure including a plate body having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface, and a plurality of prismatic strips formed on the first surface of the plate body; c) applying a coating containing a resin component and an antistatic agent on the second surface of the plate body; and d) embossing the coating with the back-coating roller to form an optical layer including a plurality of microstructures protruding in a direction away from the second surface of the plate body and having a pattern corresponding to that of the recesses in the roller surface.

  • Patent number: 7887221
Abstract: One face of a substrate of a diffuser with a light condensing function is disposed with a plurality of prism rods; at least one inclined face of parts of prism rods is disposed with a rough diffusion face; the diffusion face may be positioned on any position of the inclined face of the prism rod; the diffusion face is disposed with a plurality of irregularly arranged raised and indented stripes perpendicular, not perpendicular or parallel to a crest line of the prism rod; chromatid dispersion can be reduced and stripes of the prism rods can be atomized effectively by utilizing the diffusion face to eliminate the occurrence of moiré fringes and elevate the yield factor.

  • Publication number: 20100097706
Abstract: An optical sheet is adapted for diffusing and converging light, and includes a light-transmissive base layer, a prism layer, and a plurality of diffusion regions. The base layer has a first surface and a second surface that is opposite to the first surface. The prism layer is provided on the first surface of the base layer and has a plurality of prisms, each of which has a peak and two inclined surfaces that meet at the peak. At least two of the peaks of the prisms are different in height. The diffusion regions are disposed on the inclined surfaces of the prisms. Each of the diffusion regions is in the form of a roughened surface.
