    Abstract: An ultraviolet C light-emitting diode including an n-type semiconductor layer, a p-type semiconductor layer, an active layer, a two-dimensional hole gas (2DHG) inducing layer, and an electron blocking layer is provided. The active layer is disposed between the n-type semiconductor layer and the p-type semiconductor layer, wherein a wavelength of a maximum peak of a spectrum emitted by the active layer ranges from 230 nm to 280 nm. The two-dimensional hole gas (2DHG) inducing layer is disposed between the active layer and the p-type semiconductor layer. A concentration of magnesium in the 2DHG inducing layer is less than 1017 atoms/cm3. The electron blocking layer is disposed between the p-type semiconductor layer and the 2DHG inducing layer. A concentration of magnesium in a part of the electron blocking layer adjacent to the 2DHG inducing layer is greater than 1019 atoms/cm3.

The strain release layer is disposed on the buffer layer, wherein the buffer layer is between the substrate and the strain release layer. A material of the strain release layer includes Al1-xGaxN, where 0?x<0.15. The strain release layer is doped with silicon to release a compressive strain due to the buffer layer. A concentration of silicon doped in the strain release layer is greater than 1019 cm?3. A defect density of the strain release layer is less than or equal to 5×109/cm2. A light-emitting diode is also provided.

    Abstract: A method and system for LED calibration is provided for a plurality of LED modules cascaded in a series. Each LED module includes a plurality of LEDs, a driver and a controller. The control signal from a calibration host is transmitted to all the modules to light all LEDs in the LED module. Through the controller of the LED module, the calibration data transmitted from the calibration host is stored in the memory inside the driver so that all the LEDs will emit light according to the calibration. The present invention improves the uniformity of the light emission and improves the module maintenance convenience.

    Abstract: A digital lighting control system for controlling a plurality of lighting elements is provided, including a PC, a signal control unit, a signal conversion unit, and a signal dispatching unit. The signal control unit has a video signal input decoder for receiving video signal input and a PC display interface for connecting to the PC. The PC can control the lighting elements through the addresses of the lighting elements stored in the signal control unit. The signal conversion unit is connected to the signal control unit to receive control signals. The received control data is converted into data including addressing and control codes of the lighting elements. The signal dispatching unit is connected to the signal conversion unit for receiving converted addressing and control codes of the lighting elements. The signal dispatching unit dispatches the address and control code to lighting elements, which are connected to the signal dispatching unit.

    Abstract: A structure for a high diffuse efficiency and water-proof lighting device is provided, including a light tube and a base holder. The light tube and the base holder are each an enclosed structure. The light tube includes a circuit substrate inside the enclosed structure. The circuit substrate includes a plurality of LEDs. The light tube and the base holder each include two holes close to both ends. When the light tube and the base holder are assembled, the holes match so that the wire connecting the circuit substrate can go through the holes to enter the base holder. A water-proof and highly pull-resistant glue is used to fill the overlapping of the holes. A resilient element is used to connect the neighboring circuit substrates, the resilient element can absorb the deformation caused by the temperature changes so that the light diffusion remains uniform. Therefore, the lighting device can perform well even when operating in an environment with drastic temperature changes.

The driving circuit chip is attached to the second area of the carrier substrate, and further comprising a pad array and a pad. The metal lines are for electrically connecting the substrate to the driving circuit chip, and the chip to the driving circuit chip, respectively. The present invention can reduce the manufacturing cost, and improve the yield rate.

A second lens set has an entrance surface comprising a plurality of elongated concave cylindrical surfaces running in the vertical direction and an convex exit surface having a small curvature. The first lens set collimates light in the horizontal direction and limits light in a viewing angle in the vertical direction. The second lens set redistributes light uniformly in a viewing angle in the horizontal direction.

    Abstract: A smart light emitting diode cluster and system includes a central processing unit (CPU) and a plurality of LED cluster strings, each comprising a plurality of LED cluster connected in series. Each LED cluster includes an LED drive circuit and a plurality of LEDs. The CPU receives external input image signal, and then desired control signal and image data are sent to the LED cluster strings by appropriate processing. The control signal is used to switch the LEDs in the cluster to generate desired image and related color variation. The control signal and image data are transferred to the next LED cluster by the present LED drive circuit. In this manner, the control signal and image data are progressively transferred from the first to the last cluster so that a whole image with color variation can be displayed by all the LEDs in the system.
