    Abstract: The present invention proposes a new system for reproducing of sound of musical instruments through the detection of acoustic vibrations by using fiber optic sensors, preferably fiber Bragg gratings. This system has the potential to be immune to radio-frequency interference and may provide a faithful representation of the instrument's acoustic spectrum without distorting the sound of the instrument.
