Patents Assigned to Optoma Corporation
  • Publication number: 20110228173
Abstract: A projection apparatus including an illumination system, a light valve, and a color filtering module is provided. The illumination system is capable of emitting an illumination beam. The light valve is disposed in the transmission path of the illumination beam and capable of converting the illumination beam into an image beam. The color filtering module is disposed in the transmission path of the illumination beam between the illumination system and the light valve and includes a plurality of colored filters and a gray filter. The gray filter is capable of reducing the intensity of the illumination beam passing through the gray filter. An image adjustment method is also provided.

  • Patent number: 7777948
Abstract: A projection screen is disclosed, which includes an upper housing, an upper roller, a reflecting curtain, a lower housing, a lower roller, a lower mask and a positioning assembly. The upper roller is pivoted in the upper housing. The reflecting curtain is wound on the upper roller and has a reflecting surface to form a projection area. The lower housing is fixed at a free end of the reflecting curtain. The lower roller is pivoted in the lower housing. The lower mask is wound on the lower roller. The positioning assembly detachably connects a free end of the lower mask to the reflecting curtain, so that the lower mask covers a portion of the reflecting surface of the reflecting curtain to define the boundary of the projection area.

  • Publication number: 20090016692
Abstract: Playback control methods and systems are provided. At least one picture is obtained. The picture corresponds to a frame, and the picture includes a first region and a second region adjacent to the first region. It is determined whether at least one pixel in the first region has a predefined color, and whether at least one pixel in the second region has the predefined color. When the pixel in the first region has the predefined color and the pixel in the second region does not have the predefined color, the first region is removed, and the second region is enlarged to cover an original position of the first region. The enlarged second region is then played back via an anamorphic lens.

  • Publication number: 20080074555
Abstract: A reset circuit and a reset method for a high definition multimedia interface (HDMI) are provided. The reset circuit includes a first resistor, a second resistor, and a regulation unit. When a host system changes resolution of multimedia data, the regulation unit regulates a hot-plug detect signal to generate a logic low level pulse signal, so as to reset the data connection between the host system and a display apparatus. Thus, the multimedia data are displayed normally without resetting a connector.

  • Patent number: 6454418
Abstract: A projector having a first housing, a second housing, a projector mainframe, a lamp module and a connector pair is disclosed. The removabl lamp module is installed in the first housing which forms part of the projector housing. The projector mainframe is enclosed in the second housing which forms the other part of the projector housing. The connector pair comprises a first half connector and a second half connector, which can be fixed to or separated from each other. The first half connector connected to the lamp module is movable with respect to the second half connector fixed to the projector mainframe. When the first and second half connector are mechanically coupled, the lamp module is then mechanically coupled with the projector mainframe such that the projector can be successfully assembled.
