Abstract: A speaker system and a method for optimizing an output of a speaker thereof are provided. The speaker system includes a speaker, an automatic gain control amplifier, a volume adjustment unit, a controller, and an indication unit. The function of the automatic gain control amplifier may be intelligently optimized by the controller, so that the controller may remind the user that the automatic gain control amplifier is operated in a reduced dynamic range through the indication unit in case that the volume adjustment unit receives an input sound frequency signal of a very high intensity. With the help of the indication unit, the user may easily find an optimal operation spot of the automatic gain control amplifier, and the speaker system may generate enough sound with a good dynamic range.

Abstract: The dimensions of a viewing screen are altered to fit the aspect ratio of video being displayed on the viewing screen. A viewing screen includes screen covers which may be displaced horizontally along the viewing screen. If a different aspect ratio video is being displayed, the screen covers are moved horizontally to increase or decrease the viewing area of the viewing screen. The video is then optically resized and shifted to fit the height or width of the screen.

Abstract: A method of operating a video device includes determining an operating temperature, determining if the operating temperature is above normal operating temperature for the video projector, and setting the video projector in economy mode if the operating temperature is above the normal operating temperature.

Abstract: Systems and methods which can shift video to the edge of the display screen. The user can electrically and mechanically roll up or down the projection screen to fit the opposite edge. Further, the electrically shifted position can be memorized in memory, which will be easily recalled during future use. Also, to avoid displaying visible noise near the top edge of the video, the video may be shifted to avoid such noise being visible. The shifted position may be stored in memory to be recalled for future use.

Abstract: A video system includes a video projector located in a housing a display screen disposed adjacent to the housing, wherein the display screen is capable of being tilted to expose the video projector, logic for generating a test image to display on the tilted display screen in order to calibrate the video projector, logic for projecting the test image onto the tilted display screen; and logic for calibrating the video projector using the test image. The test image is altered to fit the tilted display screen.

Abstract: A video projector generates a black screen. Further, the video projector reduces the brightness of the light source which reduces the power level of the video projection system. Since the light source's power is reduced, less heat is generated by the video projector and the video projector's cooling fan may be slowed down. As a result, the video projector produces less noise.
