Abstract: Method of evaluating a defect of quality in a data signal, associated device and computer program. The method evaluates the defect of a carrier signal bearing data intended to be restored to a recipient, the signal including a video component and audio component. The method includes the following steps implemented on at least one sample of the signal: detection of a defect in the video component of the sample and calculation of a duration associated with the defect; assigning a class of defect to the defect detected as a function of its associated duration; according to the class of defect assigned, obtaining a result of searching for a defect in the audio component at the instants corresponding to the sample; deciding to confirm the detection of a defect of quality in the sequence as a function of the result of the search for a defect in the audio component.

Abstract: A communication network comprises a management entity adapted for allocating a transmission resource to a terminal from a plurality of terminals. A mobility value is associated with each terminal of the plurality of terminals, this mobility value indicating a level of mobility of a terminal in the communication network. Next, a terminal is selected from among the plurality of terminals on the basis of a characteristic relating to a condition of instantaneous transmission of the terminal and of a characteristic relating to a condition of mean transmission of the terminal, while taking account of the mobility value which is associated therewith. Thereafter, the transmission resource is allocated to the selected terminal.

Abstract: The device includes, in a housing, an actuator electrically connected to a battery for charging a portable item such as a mobile terminal. For a rotating actuator comprising a first member submitted to an oscillatory motion, for example a walker carrying the housing, and a second member making up at least partially a mass part, the mass part is able to oscillate around the axle of the armature with respect to the first member. A servo control system can control the actuator sometimes as a motor supplied by the battery or by allowing the mass part to move freely, sometimes as a generator charging the battery, by slaving the motion speed of the mass part to the acceleration of the oscillatory motion of the first member. This enables to recover as much electric power as possible from the walker.
Abstract: A method is provided for coding a multi-channel audio signal representing a sound scene comprising a plurality of sound sources. The method comprises decomposing the multi-channel signal into frequency bands and the following performed per frequency band: obtaining data representative of the direction of the sound sources of the sound scene, selecting a set of sound sources constituting principal sources, adapting the data representative of the direction of the selected principal sources, as a function of restitution characteristics of the multi-channel signal, determining a matrix for mixing the principal sources as a function of the adapted data, matrixing the principal sources by the matrix determined so as to obtain a sum signal with a reduced number of channels and coding the data representative of the direction of the sound sources and forming a binary stream comprising the coded data, the binary stream being transmittable in parallel with the sum signal.
Abstract: A method of filling occluded areas of a depth or disparity map estimated from at least two images and consisting of a matrix of pixels forming a set of lines and columns, each pixel of the map being associated with a depth or disparity value (pixel value) and any pixel of an occluded area (invalid pixel) being associated with a pixel value identifiable as being invalid. This method comprises a step of processing each line of the map pixel by pixel in a predefined direction and assigning each invalid pixel Pi encountered on a current line a value determined as a function of the values associated with the pixels in a predefined vicinity around the first valid pixel P1, if any, that follows the invalid pixel Pi on the current line and the value V(P1) of which corresponds to a greater depth or a lesser disparity relative to the value V(P0) of the last valid pixel P0, if any, that precedes the invalid pixel Pi on the current line.

Abstract: A collision avoidance method for transmitting data from multiple wireless tire condition sensors on a vehicle is executed by each wireless tire condition sensor having a unique ID and multiple different wake-up times. After the sensor is operated to sense data, the method has steps of reading the ID and computing a determination value with the ID and a variable, selecting one of the wake-up times according to the determination result, and after the selected wake-up time expires, transmitting the sensed data. As the selected wake-up times of the sensors differ from one another, data collision at the receiving end arising from data transmission from the sensors can be avoided. Additionally, besides the wake-up time, a time gap between data transmitted twice consecutively from each sensor can be employed to achieve data collision avoidance.
Abstract: A process and an associated system for management of a live streaming session posted directly on terminals connected to a communications network, the process includes stages of: sending invitations to the session to several invited terminals selected by a transmitting terminal; placing the transmitting and invited terminals in synchronized standby states depending on a predetermined synchronization duration, states during which the transmitting terminal is not transmitting the video stream to the destination of a multicast server in the session; when the transmitting terminal leaves its standby state to send a direct video stream to the broadcast server, allowing the invited terminals that have responded in the affirmative to the invitation to access the broadcast server to receive the continuously broadcast video stream.

Abstract: A method is provided for mapping data symbols at the input of a multi-carrier modulator, which data symbols are interleaved in blocks of K symbols, into sub-channels of size equal to NSDC consecutive carriers scattered to one or more multi-carrier symbols, NSDC being a sub-multiple of K. The size NSDC of the sub-channels is determined as a function of a symbol interleaving pattern diversity between sub-channels.
Abstract: In a packet communication network comprising a plurality of nodes connected by respective links according to a routing topology, ordered metrics are respectively associated with links each connecting two nodes together directly. On detection of a modification of the routing topology, at the level of a first node connected by a link to at least one second node, a timer value associated with the second node is determined. Next, the timer is set. Finally, on expiring of this timer, a topology update message is emitted destined for the second node. The timer value is provided by an increasing function taking as parameter the metric associated with said link connecting the first node to the second node, so that the larger the metric, the larger the timer value.

The method further includes sending, to the second node, a SIP response notifying said interference. The method also includes, before the sending step, activating, within the SIP response, a parameter that allows the request to be rerouted, said parameter being configurable by means of the second node.
