The method includes: transmitting over the wireless network, by the communicating device, an ambient signal within the environment; backscattering, by a the tag, the ambient signal to form a backscattered signal, the backscattered signal including identification data of the tag; receiving the backscattered signal by a network apparatus connected to the wireless network and obtaining, from the backscattered signal, the identification data of the tag and a network identifier of the communicating device; and recording, in a database, an item of presence information of the communicating device within the environment, which includes the identification data, the network identifier and a date of receipt of the backscattered signal.
Abstract: A method for defending against an attempt of disconnection between two entities corresponding to a network access point and a client device. The method includes, after the establishment of an initial connection between the two entities, a set of steps implemented by one or each of the two entities: receiving a set of disconnection requests; evaluating at least one criterion) defined from a metric based on the set of requests or on at least one other disconnection request received after the receipt of the set of requests, so as to allow the detection of a malicious disconnection attempt. Abstract: A method for decoding a coded data stream representing an image. The method includes for a current block: reading from the stream a block size threshold value; determining whether the current block size is less than or equal to the threshold value; if so, decoding information indicating a first or second coding mode and reconstructing the current block according to the indicated mode, and if not, reconstructing the current block according to the first mode. In the first mode the current block is reconstructed using an inverse transform of a transformed prediction residue decoded for the current block, and in the second mode the current block is not reconstructed using such an inverse transform, but by: scanning each pixel of the block, including: obtaining a prediction of the pixel from another previously decoded pixel, and reconstructing the pixel from the prediction and a decoded prediction residue.

Abstract: A method for managing a request to activate a packet data session for a user terminal capable of transmitting and receiving data over a communications network organized into network slices. The user terminal includes a subscription identifier for at least one of the slices of the network. Abstract: An energy-efficient assignment of a task set T to a group of M processing devices models the process of deciding the assignment as a combinatorial optimization problem having an objective function optimizing the power consumption of the devices when executing subsets of the tasks, under a constraint that the total utilization of the task subset assigned to each respective processing device is lower than a threshold depending on the number of its processor cores. The objective function may be: min ? ? i = 1 M P i ( ? i ) , where ?i denotes the subset of tasks allocated to the ith device, and Pi(?i) represents power consumption of the ith device when executing ?i, and the constraint U?i?Mi/4 for all the devices, where U?i is the total utilization of ?i executing on the ith device, and Mi denotes the number of cores of the ith device. Solving the problem using a MaxMin or genetic algorithm gives good energy efficiency.

Abstract: A method for establishing a telephone communication between a first terminal and a second terminal. The first and second terminals each have a main caller identifier, and the second terminal additionally has a secondary caller identifier. This method is implemented when the user of the first terminal seeks to communicate with the user of the second terminal by using the secondary caller identifier of the second terminal. The method allows redirecting the telephone call of the first terminal to a voicemail system associated with the secondary caller identifier when the user of the second terminal does not answer this telephone call. The voicemail system is associated with a voicemail system caller identifier selected from a database connected to a communication management platform.
