  • Patent number: 12294564
Abstract: Method for resolving name identifiers. Existing naming identifier resolution solutions give priority to one aspect, performance of a service or protection of privacy, over the other without it being possible to deviate therefrom. This lack of flexibility is detrimental to the user's quality of experience. This also impacts resource management for various communication equipment involved in the resolution of naming identifiers. The proposed solution makes it possible to give priority to performance or respecting privacy on a case-by-case basis. On the basis of an authorization to share a location of the equipment, the resolver gives priority to transmitting either a network address of a server associated with the naming identifier to be resolved requiring location information of the equipment, giving priority to performance, or a network address of a server associated with the naming identifier to be resolved not requiring location information of the equipment, giving priority to respecting privacy.

  • Patent number: 12284385
Abstract: A method for processing multi-view video data including, for at least one block of an image of a view encoded in an encoded data stream representing the multi-view video, obtaining at least one information item, which specifies a mode for obtaining a synthesis data item, from among first and second obtaining modes. The synthesis data item is used to synthesize at least one image of an intermediate view of the multi-view video, the intermediate view not being encoded in the encoded data stream. • Publication number: 20250110051
Abstract: Analytic sensors and methods utilize an attenuated total reflection (ATR) crystal to detect volatile compounds in an arrangement that reduces interference from compounds other than the one of interest. In particular, the components in the measurement stream are limited to those having volatilities close to that of the analyte of interest, which may be identified based on, for example, the temperature of the ATR crystal and the “dwell time”—i.e., an interval of substantially constant temperature as the ATR crystal is heated.

  • Patent number: 12267318
Abstract: A method for securing operations is described. In this method a user requests that a service provider device perform an operation, the service provider device transmitting to a certification device a request to validate the requested operation while indicating a key associated with the user. The certification device identifies the user associated with the key and transmits a dynamic code request to the user. A device that generates dynamic codes assigned to the user generates a first version of the dynamic code and transmits it to the certification device, which compares it with a second version of the code in order to decide whether it would or would not be appropriate to inform the service provider device that the requested operation has been validated.

  • Patent number: 12244815
Abstract: A method for decoding a coded data stream representing an image. The method includes for a current block: reading from the stream a block size threshold value; determining whether the current block size is less than or equal to the threshold value; if so, decoding information indicating a first or second coding mode and reconstructing the current block according to the indicated mode, and if not, reconstructing the current block according to the first mode. In the first mode the current block is reconstructed using an inverse transform of a transformed prediction residue decoded for the current block, and in the second mode the current block is not reconstructed using such an inverse transform, but by: scanning each pixel of the block, including: obtaining a prediction of the pixel from another previously decoded pixel, and reconstructing the pixel from the prediction and a decoded prediction residue.

  • Patent number: 12245032
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described for automatically discriminating authentic wireless Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices using a trained machine-learning module. In a training phase, the machine-learning module is trained to identify authentic IoT devices based on data in frame headers of wireless data emitted by the IoT devices. The trained machine-learning module may identify authentic IoT devices without analysing data from the payload of the frames to which the frames headers belong, and thus the privacy of data in the payload of the frame is not compromised and encryption of the payload data does not adversely affect performance of the trained machine-learning module in a subsequent production phase. Each training data sample may consist of header data from a sequence of successive frames of wireless data from authentic wireless IoT devices and, to enhance accuracy, may exclude address data.

  • Patent number: 12225059
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing cybersecurity services by a network and for automating the provisioning of the cybersecurity services are disclosed. The system comprises a connection control function configured to receive a message in response to a request to establish a data connection from a user equipment (UE), the message including a requested CyberSecurity Control service identifier (CSC-ID) corresponding to a first security service of a plurality of security services. The CCF can interact with a cybersecurity control (CSC) function to determine, based on the requested CSC-ID, an allowed CSC-ID for the data connection, the allowed CSC-ID corresponding to a second security service of the plurality of security services; retrieve, based on the allowed CSC-ID, an operator security policy associated with the second security service. The CCF can then select and configure a network function in accordance with the retrieved operator security policy associated with the second security service.
