Patents Assigned to Oras OY
  • Patent number: 6536053
Abstract: An apparatus for flushing a WC bowl, the apparatus allowing reflushing of the bowl soon after the first flushing without filling the water tank to the maximum volume determined by an electric sensor. The movement of a piston part (4) located in a chamber (5) communicating with the water distribution system is controlled by a control mechanism (2) operating under the dynamic pressure of supply water and by the force of gravity, this movement, in turn, controlling the movement of the discharge valve (15) and thus regulating the flushing step.

  • Patent number: 5824914
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and arrangement for measuring using magnetic flow measurement, the flow velocity of a liquid, particularly water. In the solution according to the invention, a component that is in the same phase with the magnetic field is measured from the sinusoidal voltage induced in the electrodes. The solution according to the invention can be utilized, for example, in measuring the flow velocity of water flowing in a water pipeline.

  • Patent number: 5411241
Abstract: The invention relates to a motor-driven control valve for a liquid, in which a control member (31) effects a rotatory and/or linear motion. In order to achieve an improved torsion moment and controllability, the motion of the control member is produced by means of an ultrasonic motor. In one embodiment, the rotating plate acting as a control member (31) forms directly a mobile part of the ultrasonic motor. An oscillating body (36) is in contact with this part, the oscillations of the body being produced by piezoelectric elements (37). The oscillating body (36) with the piezoelectric elements (37) can be annular, thus surrounding e.g. the material flowing in the pipe. Owing to the invention, a compact and simple solution is provided, and the actuating of the plate does not require as many transmission elements as when usual electric motors are being used.

  • Patent number: 4387880
Abstract: The invention relates to a single-grip valve having a valve body with water inlets and a water discharge outlet and ceramic discs fitted in the body, the mutual position of the discs determining the mixing ratio of cold and hot water. One ceramic disc is moved by a lever which is attached with bearings to a turning piece fitted to turn inside the body. In order to limit the turning movement of this turning piece and, together with it, that of the lever, one of the members, the turning part and the body part surrounding it, is equipped with axial protrusions spaced around it and the other has respectively at least one axial protrusion. However, the protrusions of the different members do not overlap each other in the radial direction, but between the said members there is fitted at least one detachable limiting piece which can engage between the protrusions of one member and radially overlaps the protrusions of the other member.

  • Patent number: 4088153
Abstract: A mixing valve controlled with one operating lever and comprising a first fixed ceramic plate with inlet openings communicating with inlet pipes for cold and hot water respectively and with a discharge opening for the controlled water amount; and a second ceramic plate cooperating with said first ceramic plate and being movable by means of said operating lever in order to control the total amount and the mixing ratio of cold and hot water; said mixing valve further comprising a fixed channel member, which is attached to and movable with the second ceramic plate, said channel member and said second ceramic plate forming together separate non-communicating channels for cold and hot water respectively, so that the cold and hot water are not intermixed until reaching the discharge opening. Preferably, the channel member is of plastic material and sealed in relation to the second ceramic plate by means of a sealing ring surrounding the separate channel parts.

  • Patent number: 3985994
Abstract: The connecting pipe portion between the outlet pipe and the drain pipe of a wash basin is surrounded by an electric heater for heating the interior of the connecting pipe portion to a temperature of about 80.degree. to 100.degree.C to prevent microbes from rising from the drain pipe into the outlet pipe. The connecting pipe portion comprises a metal ring having a heating coil wound thereon and being thermally insulated from the outlet pipe and drain pipe by insulating rings. The outlet pipe may include a conical stub pipe projecting into the ring and spaced therefro by an air gap.
