Abstract: A system and method is described for use with a data grid cluster, for supporting service level quorum in the data grid cluster. The data grid cluster includes a plurality of cluster nodes that support performing at least one service action. A quorum policy, defined in a cache configuration file associated with the data grid cluster, can specify a minimum number of service members that are required in the data grid cluster for performing the service action. The data grid cluster uses the quorum policy to determine whether the service action is allowed to be performed, based on a present state of the plurality of cluster nodes in the data grid cluster.

Abstract: An embodiment provides a timeline upon which a playhead indicator is moved or positioned. Changes to a displayed graph that are within a predetermined interval of the playhead indicator's time position are shown graphically on or near the graph. Actor icons are positioned on or near the displayed graph. The actor icons correspond to different entities (e.g., a person, group, organization, software agent, etc.) that has made a change to the graph. Action beams are displayed to show changes to the graph. As playback of the change events occurs, beams emanate from actor icons to items in the graph that are changed or otherwise operated upon. Various characteristics of the beams' use, appearance and behavior are described.

Abstract: A method of ensuring availability of event notification registrations of a database management system is described and provided. The method comprises creating the event notification registrations and storing the event notification registrations in a database of the database management system. Further, the event notification registrations are replicated in a designated database management system to create replicated event notification registrations. If the database management system fails, the replicated event notification registrations are utilized.

Abstract: A system provides audit opinions on an enterprise's organizations, processes, risks, and risk controls. The system first evaluates the enterprise's set of risk controls. The audit opinions of the set of risk controls are used to evaluate the set of risks associated with the set of risk controls. The audit opinions of the set of risks and of the set of risk controls are in turn used to evaluate the set of processes associated with the set of risks. Finally, all of these audit opinions are used to evaluate the set of organizations associated with the set of processes. The system streamlines the evaluation of risk by determining suggested audit opinions. Suggested audit opinions for a given item can be determined from audit opinions previously determined and associated with the given item. Rules can be defined for a given item to specify how to determine the suggested audit result.
