Patents Assigned to Orelis
  • Publication number: 20080296217
Abstract: The invention relates to a porous monolith support (50) for a filtration element, having a tubular shape and an essentially-constant cross-section along the axis thereof (X-X). The inventive support comprises a plurality of channels (62, 64), the surfaces of which are intended to be covered with filtration membranes. According to the invention, the cross-sections of the channels are distributed inside the cross-section of the support and said channels (62, 64) are only separated from the periphery of the support by a single lateral wall (56) of the support. Moreover, all of the channels of the support are distributed as follows: in a first group of oblong radial channels (62) which are disposed such that the length thereof extends in an essentially-radial manner, and in a second group of oblong lateral channels (64) which are positioned between the radial channels (62) and which are disposed such that the length thereof extends essentially parallel to the periphery of the support.

  • Patent number: 6596173
Abstract: The invention concerns an inorganic filtering membrane characterized in that it comprises a support made of an inorganic material coated with at least a membrane separating layer consisting of metal hydroxide and/or oxide particles and at the surface of which organomineral and/or mineral units are covalently grafted. The invention also concerns a method for preparing said membranes and their use for filtering.

  • Patent number: 6464881
Abstract: The invention concerns an inorganic nanofiltration membrane with a detachment threshold between 100 and 200 daltons and comprising: a multichannel ceramic monolith support consisting of a mixture of Al2O3 and of TiO2, a microfiltration membrane separating layer, an ultrafiltration membrane separating layer, preferably consisting of ZrO2, a nanofiltration membrane separating layer, preferably consisting of ZrO2, and obtained by a sol-gel type method. This inorganic nanofiltration membrane is designed for use in the sugar industry, more particularly for treating saline effluents derived from the regeneration of ion exchanging resins used if the refining of cane sugar.
