Abstract: A minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine, including a beam configured for vertical mounting on a wall, a selectively positionable arm extending from the beam; a tension cable extending through the selectively positionable arm, a motor for applying resistance on the tension cable, and a housing configured to conceal the motor behind the beam with the beam covering the motor and the housing, such that the beam and the housing visually cooperate to conceal the motor behind the beam.

Abstract: A wall mountable exercise machine, with an elongated pillar for mounting at locations along a first wall stud, a resistance motor within a housing associated with the pillar, a spool configured to be rotated by the resistance motor, a cable running along at least a portion of the pillar and having a first end fastened to the spool and a second end for receiving exercise forces including a torque component that exerts a twisting force on the pillar, and a bar having a first end for connecting to an intermediate location on the pillar and a second end configured for connection to a second stud spaced from the first stud to thereby resist the torque component of the exercise force on the pillar and to prevent the pillar from being ripped from the wall as the result of the torque component that exerts a twisting force on the pillar.
