  • Patent number: 6685794
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to significantly inhibit the formation of voids between substrates bonded together when a liquid adhesive is supplied onto an optical disc substrate or when the optical disc substrate is bonded to another optical disc substrate. Accordingly, the present invention discloses a method for bonding two optical disc substrates together which comprises the steps of joining the optical disc substrates together with an adhesive and curing the adhesive, wherein the adhesive is supplied onto the optical disc substrate by an electric field formed between the adhesive-supplying nozzle, for supplying the adhesive onto the optical disc substrate, and the optical disc substrate, and the two optical disc substrates are then joined together and subjected to spun by a spinning process.

  • Patent number: 5075836
Abstract: A series resonant power converter in which a resonant copacitor is commonly used in a series resonant circuit and a parallel resonant circuit, whereby a capacitance of the resonant capacitor can be considerably decreased as compared with that of a tank circuit according to a prior art, so that an energy handled by the resonant capacitor can be decreased, which results in decreasing a size of the resonant circuit and also decreasing a power loss. The converter includes means for detecting and computing a voltage applied across a main switch means in its OFF-state and a control circuit for driving the main switch means to its ON-state when the detected and computed value of the voltage drops to a minimum voltage required to sustain oscillation of the series resonant circuit.

  • Patent number: 5067143
Abstract: A current detecting circuit for an X-ray tube is disclosed which includes a DC high voltage generating circuit connected across a filament and an anode of the X-ray tube and current detecting means connected in series in a filament circuit. The filament, which is at a high potential, receives a power from a secondary winding of an isolation transformer, which has sufficient dielectric strength to insulate a highest voltage generated by said DC high voltage generating circuit. A rectifier circuit is arranged to rectify a current fed from said secondary winding or another winding having same dielectric strength as that of said secondary winding, and said rectifier circuit supplies a power to a signal transmitting circuit. The signal transmitting circuit is energized, according to the current detected by said current detecting means, to transmit an output signal. The output signal is transmitted through electrically isolated transmission means to a signal receiving circuit, which is at a ground potential.

  • Patent number: 3938178
Abstract: In the embodiment is specifically described a method for irradiating a transistor device with radiant rays. The top surface of the semiconductor crystal contained in the transistor device is exposed to the radiant rays so that the radiated energy impinging upon a preselected part of the base region, underneath the emitter electrode, is less than that impinging upon the other parts of the base region. Masking and radiant ray absorptive material are used to facilitate the process. Thereafter, the device and/or crystal is subjected to heat treatment to selectively improve such characteristics of the transistor as amplifying and switching characteristics to produce transistors suitable to a necessity of different applications.
