  • Patent number: 9138417
Abstract: A controlled release particle includes a core containing an antibiotic compound, and a shell covering the core. The controlled release particle is obtained by a production method including a first step in which a first component containing an antibiotic compound and a polymerizable vinyl monomer is subjected to suspension polymerization to form the core containing the antibiotic compound and a polymer of the polymerizable vinyl monomer; and a second step in which a second component containing a shell-forming component is subjected to interfacial polymerization to form a shell, wherein in the second step, the interfacial polymerization is started simultaneously with the start of the suspension polymerization of the first step, or started after the start of the suspension polymerization of the first step.

  • Patent number: 8323450
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a heat storage material that contains heat storage capsules. The heat storage capsules include a phase change material that absorbs and/or discharges latent heat in response to a change in temperature. The phase change material resides within outer shells of the heat storage capsules. The method involves binding abutting peripheral portions of a plurality of heat storage capsules with a molding binder, so as to form an intermediate granular molded heat storage material. An outer peripheral surface portion of the granular molded heat storage material is coated with a coating binder. The coated granular molded heat storage material is then subjected to a treatment that causes the coating binder of the coating layer to polymerize. The invention also relates to heat storage adsorbent materials, and articles (e.g., canisters) that include such heat storage adsorbent materials.

  • Publication number: 20090294094
Abstract: The present invention includes a heat storage granule having a plurality of microcapsules mixed with a binder and granulated into the heat storage granule. Each of the microcapsules may have an outer case and a phase change material contained therein. The outer case may be made of synthetic resin. The phase change material can absorb and dissipate latent heat in response change in temperature. The heat storage granule may have a cover layer that has heat conductivity and resistance against alcohol, both of which may be higher than those of a thermosetting resin or a thermoplastic resin.

  • Patent number: 7442470
Abstract: In a high power output non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery including a negative electrode including a graphitizable carbon material, the physical properties of the graphitizable carbon material is controlled. In a X-ray diffraction pattern of the graphitizable carbon material, a ratio of a peak intensity I(101) attributed to a (101) plane to a peak intensity I(100) attributed to a (100) plane satisfies 0<I(101)/I(100)<1.0. A ratio of a peak intensity I(110) attributed to a (110) plane to a peak intensity I(004) attributed to a (004) plane satisfies 0.7?I(110)/I(004) ?1.4. The graphitizable carbon material preferably has a specific surface area measured by BET method of 1 to 5 m2/g.

  • Patent number: 6881333
Abstract: A water purifier is composed of a valve main body and a filtration portion, which are coupled to each other in an attachable and detachable manner at the main body side coupling portion and the filtration portion side coupling portion. Consequently, the water purifier filtration portion can be connected to the water purifier main body in a single step with ease in a secure manner, and at the same time, the water purifier filtration portion will not fall off easily even when water with a high water pressure flows in. Also, the water purifier is provided with a concave portion and a sensor packing formed as an integral portion of the concave portion and protruding toward an indicator portion on a wall surface of a cartridge. The indicator portion is provided with a conductive member at a position where it is brought into contact with a first input portion by a water pressure and thereby closes an electric circuit on a circuit board.
