Abstract: Iron effect pigments having a thickness distribution, determined via thickness counting by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), as a cumulative undersize distribution with: a) an h50 value from 10 to 55 nm; and b) an h90 value from 20 to 80 nm, and also a method for producing the pigments, and the use of the iron effect pigments. The disclosure further relates to a printing ink comprising the iron effect pigments of the invention.
