  • Patent number: 7314450
Abstract: The wearable heartbeat measuring device is accomplished by wearing a wrist-watch-like heart monitor device on the wrist. The heart monitor is worn on the top of the wrist with a strap around the wrist. The strap has an inflexible extending portion that extends from the heart monitor at a predetermined angle and a predetermined width with respect to the wrist so that a predetermined space is maintained between the top portion of the wrist and the strap for promoting the transfer efficiency of the pulsation force that is initially experienced at a part of the strap at the bottom of the wrist. The strap also has a flexible portion. A predetermined angle and a predetermined width of the extended portion also facilitate the flexible portion to form a flat area where the wrist contacts the strap. In the prefer embodiments, the width of the strap exceeds the width of the wrist when it is worn.

  • Patent number: 7083424
Abstract: In a connector board (socket) for an electronic component, each electrode member is a leaf spring formed by bending a conductive plate into a substantially U-shape with an opening facing substantially parallel to a surface of the connector board. A first contact is unitary with one free end of the leaf spring and is held in electrical contact with a corresponding terminal of electronic component, and a second contact is unitary with the other free end of the leaf spring and is held in electrical contact with a corresponding terminal of a printed circuit board. The leaf spring includes a first leg which extends substantially in parallel with a surface of the connector board, a coupling portion which is unitary with the first leg, and a second leg which is unitary with the coupling portion so as to oppose the first leg and which extends obliquely toward a surface of the connector board. Engagement elements are seated within grooves provided in partition walls and are formed unitarily with the coupling portion.

  • Patent number: 6004141
Abstract: There is disclosed a socket for use with an electronic part, which is simple in structure and easily fabricated and in which a reliable contact between electrode terminals of the electronic part and those of a socket body is obtained when the electronic part is mounted or detached. Each electrode portion 1b of a socket body 10b has a sliding contact which contacts with an electrode terminal of the electronic part and whose contact point is movable by pushing of the electronic part against the socket body in a direction B perpendicular to the push, and a spring contact which biases with its degree of contact with the sliding contact increasing in proportion to a movable amount of the sliding contact.
