    Abstract: A method for manufacturing a polymer OLED, wherein after the application of a number of active layers onto a substrate to form the OLED, these active layers are encapsulated with at least one sealing, wherein prior to the application of the sealing, the OLED is heated for some time, as a result of which volatile substances present in the active layers evaporate from the OLED, and subsequently the respective sealing is applied. Optionally independently of the heating of the OLED prior to the application of the sealing, the sealing can be formed by at least a UV-setting resist layer which is applied with one of the following techniques; printing, such as inkjet printing, screen printing, tampon printing, offset printing and the like, or a mechanical coating technique, such as spray coating, curtain coating, spin coating and the like.

    Abstract: A method of producing a disc having at least one substrate and at least one information layer on the substrate, the method includes bringing the substrate in parallel relationship with a stamper having a negative of the information layer to be formed on the substrate. A gap is located between the substrate and the stamper. A lacquer is injected into the gap between the substrate and the stamper. At least the stamper is rotated, moving the substrate and the stamper towards each other, thereby reducing the gap. The layer of lacquer formed between the substrate and the stamper is cured, and the stamper is removed, leaving the layer of cured lacquer with the information layer formed therein on substrate. Before bringing the substrate in parallel relationship with the stamper, the substrate is provided with a first information layer and a semi-reflective layer located thereon, whereby the layer of lacquer is formed onto the semi-reflective layer.

    Abstract: A method for gluing two disc elements together, in particular substrates for digital audio, video or data discs, such as Digital Versatile Discs (DVDs). The disc elements are held essentially horizontally and coaxially with one another so that a gap is formed between the disc elements, after which, in an inner area of the gap, a liquid adhesive is applied in the form of separate strands in the circumferential direction on the facing sides of the disc elements. The disc elements are brought together against one another and made to rotate rapidly in conjunction with the bringing together in order, by the gravitational force of the upper disc element and the capillary force of the adhesive, in association with the centrifugal force on the latter during the rapid rotation, to form a homogeneous and bubble-free adhesive layer of predetermined thickness between the disc elements.
