Abstract: A protective case for an electronic device may have two layers: an inner cushion cover that surrounds a portion of the electronic device, and an outer rigid shell that surround part of the cushion cover. The outer shell has side walls that engage and hold the cushion cover on the electronic device. The cushion cover has reduced thickness portions so that the side walls are embedded in the cushion cover and provide a protective case having a substantially smooth exterior. The cushion cover is capable of absorbing shocks from impacts on the rigid outer shell. Coring on the inner portion of the cushion cover provides additional softness and the ability of the cushion cover to absorb shocks while using a higher density material, which is able to conform to the electronic device.

Abstract: A rechargeable battery pack system includes a charging base and rechargeable battery packs. The charging base includes an electrical connector for receiving electrical power and a set of electrical contacts. The rechargeable battery packs each include a rechargeable battery, electrical circuitry, and an inductive coil for wirelessly transmitting power to an electronic device. The rechargeable battery packs each include a first set of electrical contacts to electrically contact the charging base for receiving electrical power from the charging base when the battery pack is stacked on top. The rechargeable battery packs further include a second set of electrical contacts for providing electrical power to another rechargeable battery pack when the other rechargeable battery pack is stacked on top. The second set of electrical contacts is activated for providing the electrical power to the other rechargeable battery pack only after receiving a proper identity code from the other rechargeable battery.

Abstract: A portable insulated storage container includes an insulated body having an internal cavity for storing one or more items and an insulated lid. Abstract: A parcel box includes a weather resistant housing, a temperature control system, a communication module, and electrical circuitry. The weather resistant housing includes a lockable door for providing access to a protected cavity configured for receiving a parcel for temporary secure storage of the parcel. The temperature control system selectively controls a temperature inside the protected cavity. The communication module receives delivery data including an estimated delivery time for the parcel. The electrical circuitry operates the temperature control system to adjust the temperature of the protected cavity to within a preferred temperature range prior to the estimated delivery time of the parcel and maintains the temperature for at least a specified period of time.
Abstract: A mounting system for an electronic device includes a protective case and a compatible component. The protective case includes an inner surface and an outer surface opposite the inner surface. A female mounting portion is disposed within the outer surface of the protective case, the female mounting portion including a plurality of recesses arranged in spaced apart relation around an opening in the protective case. Each recess includes a pair of transition ramps proximate the first and second ends of each recess. The compatible component includes a male mounting portion including a plurality of raised engagement portions adapted to engage one or more of the plurality of recesses. Abstract: A protective case system includes an extendable device grip and a protective case. The extendable device grip includes an attachment mechanism and has a stowed configuration and extended configuration. The protective case includes a shell and a receiver. The shell is configured for receiving and removably retaining an electronic device. The shell has at least a back wall and side walls. The outer surface of the back wall of the shell includes a recessed or concave area. The extendable device grip is removably attachable to the receiver for removably attaching the extendable device grip to the protective case. The receiver is positioned in the recessed or concave area of the back wall of the shell such that at least a portion of the extendable device grip is within the recessed area when the extendable device grip is attached to the protective case and is in the stowed configuration.
