Abstract: In a wire and band processing machine, a drive system is positioned on one side of a processing plate and a fastening arrangement is provided for mounting processing units on the other side of the processing plate. The processing units are connected to the drive system through holes in the processing plate. The drive system includes at least one worm shaft extending parallel to the processing plate and a worm gear can be releasably positioned in meshed engagement with the worm shaft. The axis of the worm gear extends perpendicularly to the processing plate and to the worm shaft.
Abstract: A workpiece processing machine comprises a stationary main frame 10 with at least one main processing plane G. On the one side of this main processing plane there are arranged worm shafts 15, 16, 17 and 18 extending with their axes substantially parallel with the main processing plane G, mounted in the stationary main frame 10 and connected for drive with one another. On the other side of the main processing plane G there are provided securers for the securing of processing units 25 on the stationary main frame 10. To each worm shaft there is allocated at least one main power take-off position 15a, 16a, 17a, 18a for the drive connection of a processing unit 25 with the respective worm shaft 15, 16, 17, 18 through a worm wheel, meshing with the worm shaft, with worm wheel axis perpendicular to the main processing plane G. At least three worm shafts connected for drive are arranged along mutually adjoining sides of a polygonal line.
Abstract: In apparatus for feeding stock including a feeding slide driven for reciprocal motion within a linear path between two terminal positions by a crank mechanism, an auxiliary device is provided which periodically superimposes motion characteristics on the movement of the feeding slide caused by revolution of the crank mechanism at least in the regions of the terminal positions of the linear path of the feeding slide.
