Abstract: Method for increasing the chemical efficiency of precipitating agents having a metal base in the treatment of water, waste water or sludge. The medium to be treated is initially conducted by pressure into a mixing cell where it is mixed in free turbulence with a precipitant solution and caused to react to form a reaction mixture containing flocs. The reaction mixture is conducted into a separating basin in which the flocs are removed from the clear water.
