Abstract: A simulated mouse toy having a prerecorded sound chip therein is provided which emits a prerecorded sound upon physical movement, such as when swatted, rolled or carried, to encourage pets to continue to play. A motion imparting device formed of a solenoid is operatively connected in conjunction the prerecorded sound chip to simultaneously provide a jittery or twitching visual stimulation.

Abstract: An improved automated litter box comprises a motorized comb or rake drive mechanism for removing clumps, a means for cycling the drive mechanism, and a cat proximity sensor for sensing the relative position of a cat about or within said litter chamber. The cat proximity sensor is capable of identifying the location of a cat outside the litter box or litter box or litter chamber. The cat proximity sensor comprises a passive or inductive transmitter for identification for modulating and demodulating a radio frequency (RF) signal; and an antenna for receiving and transmitting a radio frequency (RF) signal.

Abstract: A pet enclosure comprising a floor panel, vertical sidewalls and a top panel connected by means of extruded corner members to form a rectangular box-like structure having two openings at opposite ends. A front and a rear door panel is removably mounted to and secured to the enclosure at the openings by means of pins that are connected to a spring latch; they engage latch holes on the corner members.

Abstract: An aroma therapy kit for a feline comprises the combination of a housing, at least one retention element disposed inside the housing, and at least one additive delivered to the at least one retention element. It is further envisioned that multiple retention elements and/or multiple additives may be provided in the kit to provide greater versatility and choice to the scents or fragrances used as aroma therapy with the apparatus.

Abstract: A method of producing an enriched, natural collagen pet chew by means of vacuum sealing impregnation technology to add nutrients, flavoring, and/or anti-microbial agents to a natural, but demineralized, canine bone chew. A pet mastication article is soaked in acetic acid to reveal a flexible, chewable collagen structure. After the collagen structure is soaked and rinsed, nutrients and other agents are infused into the porous structure of the bone by means of vacuum impregnation.

Abstract: A removable serving lid is provided that sealingly covers the opening of a pet food can. A sealing sidewall extending downward form a flexible lid cover circumscribes the upper opening of a pet food can, and thereby forms an air-tight seal. The flexible material is designed to apply and remove easily, even when cold such as to accommodate refrigeration of any un-dispensed contents of a pet food can. A gripping flange extending laterally outward from the perimeter of the sidewall provides a gripping surface to facilitate removal of the sealed lid. Finally, an adjustable scoop is perpendicularly disposed through the flexible lid cover through a scoop aperture that seals against the handle of the scoop, maintaining a sealed environment even as the sloop is vertically adjusted into the contents of the food can.
