Publication number: 20230351067Abstract: A method for generating an online landscape design for a property includes first providing a computing system comprising at least a memory storing computer-executable instructions of a landscaping application, and a processor coupled to the memory. The landscaping application comprises a calculator engine, a landscape design engine, and a scoring engine. Next, calculating a landscape score of a property by retrieving landscape data from online databases and comparing an existing landscape design of the property to the retrieved landscape data via the scoring engine. Next, determining property landscape improvements by the scoring engine, and then generating an improved landscape design for the property based on the property landscape improvements of the scoring engine using the landscape design engine. Next, calculating an improved landscape score of the improved design via the scoring engine and displaying a 3D-image of the property with the improved landscape design and the improved score.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 5, 2023Publication date: November 2, 2023Applicant: HOME OUTSIDE, INCInventors: JULIE MOIR MESSERVY, DAVID ROSE, KYLE SCHARPF

Patent number: 8473335Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for providing geocoded web content to a user based on a specific geographic location specified by the user. A determination module receives a geographic location from the user and determines latitude and longitude coordinates associated with the geographic location from a geographic information database. The determination module further determines a geographic boundary associated with the latitude and longitude coordinates based at least in part on an area of interest surrounding the geographic location. A web content search module determines web content comprising substance associated with a location within the geographic boundary. A front end interface transmits the determined web content for display in an order based at least in part on distance from the location associated with the web content to the geographic location.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2008Date of Patent: June 25, 2013Assignee: Outside.in, Inc.Inventors: Robert F. Publication number: 20090319187Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for presenting users with web advertisements that are dynamically adjusted based upon a geographic location determined within the content of the web page that the web advertisement will appear. An analysis module determines a geographic location from the content of a web page. The analysis module determines coordinates associated with the geographic location. An advertisement search module determines geographic specific advertisements based on the coordinates. An advertisement generation module generates a geocoded targeted web advertisement based at least in part on geographic specific advertisements.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 23, 2008Publication date: December 24, 2009Applicant: Outside. In, Inc.Inventors: Robert F. Patent number: 7084787Abstract: A system and method for detecting key actuation in a keyboard assembly, which, in one embodiment, is used as a conductor to electrically communicate with an information appliance. The rows in the keyboard assembly are electrically isolated from one another, and each row contains keys bridging a two-wire bus. Each key has a switch that is closed during key actuation, a diode to polarize the key, and a resistor to provide a resistive load when the switch is closed and the diode is biased with the current flow. Alternatively, each key has a switch that is closed during key actuation, a timer with an output that goes high after a predetermined time period, and a resistor that provides an identifying load when the switch is closed and the output of the timer is high. Other features of the invention include a linear matrix coupled to a row of keys to allow the row to be scanned by sections and individual keys, and a flexible circuit that provides the electrical pathways for the linear matrix.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 2003Date of Patent: August 1, 2006Assignee: Think Outside, Inc.Inventors: Robert Olodort, John Tang, Randy Turchik

Patent number: 6798649Abstract: A digital processing device including a base, a display assembly, a hinge assembly, and a foldable keyboard is described. The hinge assembly enables the back of the display assembly to be rotated between a first configuration and a second configuration. In the first configuration, the user may interact with the device in a similar manner as a PDA. In the second configuration, the hinge assembly enables the unfolding of the keyboard assembly so that it is accessible to the user to enter information by typing and the display assembly is positioned for viewing of information. The keyboard assembly unfolds to form a full-size keyboard (e.g., conformance with an ISO 9241-4:1998(E) standard) that allows a user to comfortably, quickly, and accurately “touch-type” in a manner that the user may be accustomed to. The base may be rigid to enable use of the keyboard assembly on soft or uneven surfaces.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 2002Date of Patent: September 28, 2004Assignee: Think Outside, Inc.Inventors: Robert Olodort, Peter M.
