Patents Assigned to OxiDyn, Incorporated
  • Patent number: 5598316
Abstract: An apparatus and method for substantially eliminating static electrical charges from articles by rinsing the articles with ozonated water is disclosed. A closed loop recirculating system for ozonated water is described. The apparatus provides a pressure differential bypass line for providing a constant recirculating flow of ozonated water from an venturi for injecting ozone into the water directly to a water storage tank, by-passing a rinsing apparatus. Also included are a supply line to a rinsing apparatus and a diverted supply line for diverting flow back to the storage tank and bypassing the rinser apparatus. The supply line and the diverted supply line have a normally closed solenoid valve and a normally open solenoid valve, respectively, for controlling the flow of ozonated water between them. A pair of redox probes are provided for monitoring ozone concentration in the water and determining whether to initiate or to cease rinser operation.

  • Patent number: 5520893
Abstract: Medical instruments, including stainless steel, plastic tubing, and the like, are sterilized in a portable apparatus that provides a low volume, high pressure flow of continuously circulating water containing about 2 to 6 ppm of ozone. The portable apparatus includes a housing having an open chamber for containing medical instruments. Within the housing are a high voltage transformer, an ozone generator, and a high pressure, low volume pump for circulating ozonated water. A lid for the chamber is provided with carbon substantially to preclude ozone from escaping from the chamber into the atmosphere outside the housing. The lid includes a safety switch so that the apparatus will not operate unless the lid is in place.

  • Patent number: 5501844
Abstract: An air treating apparatus and method therefor is disclosed that can be used in spaces occupied by humans or other mammals for deodorizing the air with ozone while the humans or other mammals are present. A housing having an air inlet and an air outlet defining an air flow passageway therebetween has a fan in the inlet for drawing air through the passageway and discharging the air through the outlet. The housing contains a transformer for supplying high voltage electrical power to an ozone generator in the air passageway for enriching the air in ozone and discharging a mixture of ozone in the air at a predetermined concentration. A potentiometer controls a timer for controlling the interval over which ozone is produced in an "on/off" manner. The time averaged concentration of ozone thereby is controlled so that exposure to ozone does not exceed established limits over time.

  • Patent number: 5368815
Abstract: An apparatus and process for supplying ozonated rinse water in a closed loop recirculating system to a rinsing apparatus for articles is described. The apparatus provides a pressure differential bypass line for providing a constant recirculating flow of ozonated water from a venturi directly to a water storage tank, bypassing the rinsing apparatus. The supply line and the diverted supply line have a normally closed solenoid valve and a normally open solenoid valve, respectively, for controlling the flow of ozonated water between them and maintaining and regulating pressure and volume of water for optimizing injection of ozone into the water and for maintaining ozone in the water.
