Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of mixtures of monoesters and diesters as coalescing agents. Monoesters and diesters according to the present invention were obtained by ethoxylation of fatty acids, and/or by direct esterification of fatty acids with monoethylene glycol or polyethylene glycol. Fatty acids used in the present invention have 4 to 22 carbon atoms and can be saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched. In particular, the invention is directed to a composition of coalescing agents comprising: (i) mixtures of (RCOO(EO)nH) monoesters and diesters; and, (ii) mixtures of (RCOO(EO)nH) monoesters and diesters obtained from the ethoxylation of fatty acids, and/or direct esterification of fatty acids with ethylene glycol derivatives, and/or transesterification, wherein the monoesters are present in an amount of 90 to 10 mass % and diesters are present in an amount of 10 to 90 mass %.

Abstract: The invention relates to a herbicide formulation comprising a water soluble salt of n-phosphomethylglycine and at least one adjuvant, the said adjuvant consisting in an alkoxylated imidazoline with the following structure I wherein R1 is a saturated or unsaturated C4 to C24 fatty acid. The use of the alkoxylated imidazoline provides as a result a herbicide formulation that is not irritant to the skin or the eyes. Furthermore, the adjustment of the degree of ethoxylation or propoxylation of the imidazoline permits the compatibility thereof with the various glyphosate salts, allowing the obtainment of concentrated solutions that maintain stability at temperatures higher than 60° C., without requiring other adjuvants.
Abstract: The present invention refers to the conversion of gaseous or gasifiable fuels with high methane content, such as natural gas, biogas, synthesis gas or gas originated from various industrial process rejects, with or without prior desulfurization and elimination of other contaminants, in a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC), with special anodes, based on mixed oxides or metal oxides with a perovskite type structure, either or not nano structured, into light hydrocarbons, primarily ethylene and ethane.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an enhanced process for sugar production through the acid hydrolysis of cellulosic and lignocellulosic materials characterized by the treatment of these materials in three steps. In the first step, it is made a digestion of the lignocellulosic material using a solvent capable of partially dissolving the lignin, which constitutes part of the lignocellulosic material. In the second step, the cellulosic material resulting from the treatment with the solvent is subjected to an acid treatment in such conditions that mainly hemicellulose is hydrolyzed to form a sugar solution rich with pentose monomers and oligomers. In the third step, the cellulosic material from the second step is subjected to an acid treatment in such conditions that the major part of the cellulose is hydrolyzed to form a sugar solution rich with hexose monomers and oligomers.

Abstract: This invention relates to an agrochemical composition, comprising an anticrystallizing agent both in the concentrated formulation and after its dilution into water to prepare the spray broth. Said composition comprises (a) a pesticide, (b) a straight or branched chain, saturated or unsaturated fatty alcohol containing from 6 to 20 carbon atoms, (c) a straight or branched chain, saturated or unsaturated sulfonic acid and/or salts thereof, (d) a straight or branched chain, saturated or unsaturated ethoxylated fatty ester, and (e) an alkoxylate. This invention also relates to the use of this agrochemical composition and method for the application thereof.
