Abstract: An electrochemical energy store comprising a separator (40, 40a, 40b) is described, wherein said electrochemical energy store has a positively charged electrode (20), a negatively charged electrode (30), an electrolyte, and a porous separator (40, 40a, 40b) which separates the positively charged electrode (20) and the negatively charged electrode (30) from each other. The separator (40, 4a, 40b) includes at least one microporous foil which is produced using ion irradiation, among other things. The separator (40, 40a, 40b) farther includes ion ducts (43) extending at different angles from one another.

Abstract: The invention relates to a cell culture insert (1) comprising a beaker-shaped insert wall (11), a base (9) consisting of a membrane filter, projecting support arms (3, 4) that are distributed around the periphery of the top and lateral spacers (7, 8) for a vertical and horizontal orientation in a well (2) containing a liquid culture medium (N) in a cell culture plate. According to the invention, the spacers (7, 8) are distributed around the periphery of the cell culture insert (1) and have different radial lengths in such a way that a large feed opening (5) and several smaller openings (5A) are formed.

Abstract: A filter support is releasably connectable to a tissue cassette for collecting and embedding cells in paraffin wax. The cassette includes a cylindrical port which extends from a top surface through a bottom surface of the cassette. The filter support has a cylindrical extension to extend over a bottom end of the cylindrical port of the tissue cassette. The filter support is made of a polar polymer.

Abstract: A filter cartridge (1) for use in a device for filtering liquids, in particular drinking water, comprises a beakerlike container (2) with a removable cap (3) and flow openings (4) and flow openings (9) disposed in the bottom (6) of the container, a granular filter composition (5) introduced into the container (2), and one sieve (7, 8) each disposed between the cap (3) and the filter composition (5), and between the bottom (6) and filter composition (5). The cap is embodied as a cone tapering toward the top (flat cone) and the sieve (7) associated with the cap is embodied corresponding to the cap (3) as a conical sieve, and its encompassing rim is welded to the cap (3). The sieve (8) associated with the bottom is embodied by an intrinsically flat disk and is welded with its encompassing rim to the bottom (6).
