The grooves are fitted to receive the forks of the lifting fork of a pallet truck so that the article to be wrapped up may be conveyed by the pallet truck onto the cover plate to be supported by it, and respectively off the pallet truck. A base plate is immovably supported to a fixed base. The cover plate which is to be rotated relative to the base plate is bearing-mounted to rotate about a central vertical rotating axis. A vertical wall extends up from the cover plate substantially perpendicularly on the periphery of the base plate. The vertical wall comprises an opening. An access ramp is fitted in alignment with the opening and mounted to the vertical wall. The forks of the pallet truck may be conveyed to the grooves of the cover plate through the access ramp.

    Abstract: A method for wrapping a wrap film around an object includes the steps of—feeding the wrap film around the object from a wrap film roll, feeding an additional film from an additional film roll to the vicinity of the wrap film fed from the wrap film roll. The additional film and the wrap film are contacted with each other to adhere the additional film to the wrap film and to feed the adhered films around the object. The additional film adhered to the wrap film is cut at a point which is separate from the wrap film to stop feeding the additional film around the object. In particular, the method includes recognizing of a recognition mark arranged to the additional film that is fed adhered to the wrap film around the object, and cutting the additional film, at a predetermined point relative to the recognition mark.

    Abstract: A wrapping machine having a pre-stretching device including a first pre-stretching roller and a second pre-stretching roller, which are tractively coupled via power transmission gears. A second deflecting pinch roller has been fined to be pressed against the second pre-stretching roller to form a second nip for the film web passed between the second deflecting pinch roller and the second pre-stretching roller. A lever mechanism moves the first pre-stretching roller between an engagement position and a disengagement position, so that the lever mechanism also moves the first deflecting pinch roller apart from the first pre-stretching roller and simultaneously the second deflecting pinch roller apart from the second pre-stretching roller to allow easier thread-in of the film web end.

    Abstract: A wrapping apparatus, in which the supporting elements supporting a film roll are mounted on the frame of a film dispenser with bearings permitting free rotation so that the film roll supported by them is freely rotatable. The pre-stretching rollers are mutually engaged via a transmission and are likewise mounted on the frame with bearings permitting free rotation. A pendulum roller in the film dispenser and the spring force of a spring applying a load on it have been so adapted that the pendulum roller forms between the second pre-stretching roller and the deflecting roller a bend that functions as a film supply containing a varying amount of film, depending on the prevailing draw of the film to keep the drawing velocity and tension of the film substantially constant at the pre-stretching rollers regardless of the variation in the draw and velocity of the film that is caused by the shape of the article being wrapped.

    Abstract: A procedure for winding a wrapper (1) around a piece of goods (2) includes the steps of pulling a shrinkable film (5) over the upper part of the goods, winding the wrapper around the goods so that the film is partly impacted under the wrapper, and cutting off and seaming the wrapper. The wrapper is unshrinkable relative to the film. Only the film is heated, and it shrinks and becomes tightened around the upper part of the goods. An apparatus includes assembly for pulling a shrinkable film over the upper part of the goods, assembly for winding a relatively unshrinkable wrapper around the goods, assembly for cutting off and seaming the wrapper, and a heating device for heating only the film wherein the heating device is disposed above the film whereby a hot air is blown against the film. The tightened film supports the upper part of the goods so that the goods cannot fan out during transport or delivery.
