Abstract: A process for making a bottle of a polymeric material suitable for being used with carbonated drinks, comprising the steps of: positioning a preform in a mould; and blowing the preform. The process is characterized in that a total draw ratio greater than 16 is used.
Abstract: A method is for manufacturing a container (C), such as a PET bottle, with a convex bottom and a self-bearing support, typically a self-bearing label. In particular, the method is for manufacturing a container (C) with a convex bottom and a self-bearing support including providing a plurality of containers (C) having a convex bottom. A machine (100) is provided for applying strips made of flexible material to the containers (C) and a plurality of support elements (1, 101, 201) for the containers (C). The support elements (1, 101, 201) are strips made of a support material. The method further includes feeding the plurality of containers (C) to the machine (100) and applying a support element (1, 101, 201) to each of the containers (C).
