Patents Assigned to P.J. Zweegers en Zonen Landbouwmachinefabriek
  • Patent number: 5367863
Abstract: The invention relates to a mowing machine provided with a frame and with a plurality of mowing means arranged side by side in a row, which are supported by the frame, which mowing means are rotatable about upwardly extending axes of rotation during operation and which are each connected to a pulley. A driving belt is passed over said pulleys connected to the mowing means, said driving belt also being passed over a pulley arranged near one end of the row of mowing means, which pulley can be driven from a driving source driving the mowing machine during operation. The contact between the driving belt and the pulleys connected to the mowing means is arranged in such a manner, that with the same tensile force in the part of the driving belt that is in contact with the pulley in question the driving belt can transmit more power to a pulley connected to a mowing means which is located near the drivable pulley than to a pulley connected to a mowing means which is located further away from the drivable pulley.

  • Patent number: 5079906
Abstract: The invention relates to a mowing machine provided with a hollow frame beam and with a plurality of mowing devices supported by the frame beam. The mowing devices are rotatable about axes of rotation extending upwardly and parallel to each other and can be driven by way of a driving belt provided in the frame beam and pulleys, located in the frame beam, which are coupled to the mowing devices. The axes of rotation of the mowing devices slope upwards during operation, when seen in the intended direction of movement, relative to a vertical plane extending in the direction of movement. Stubs are secured to the bottom plate of the frame beam, on each of which stubs there is journalled, by way of bearings a driving mechanism secured to a mowing device.

  • Patent number: 5031391
Abstract: A mowing machine provided with a frame and a plurality of mowing members provided with mowing knives. The mowing members are supported by the frame and are rotatable about upwardly extending axes of rotation. Supporting members are arranged under the mowing members are vertically adjustable relative to said mowing members, and are secured to upwardly extending carrier shafts. Above the mowing members a substantially horizontally extending driving shaft is journalled in the frame and coupled to each of the carrier shafts by means of a transmission mechanism in such a manner that the transmission mechanism a rotating movement of the driving shaft is converted into a movement of the carrier shafts parallel to the axes of rotation of the mowing means.

  • Patent number: 4972770
Abstract: In order to retain the press element (9) in a roll baling press (1) in a stable shape corresponding to the minimum size of the press chamber after a movable part (3) of the press has been closed, the press element (9) consists of an inherently stiff rubber or plastic web capable of forming a self-supported loop (SM) corresponding to the minimum size of the press chamber. At the beginning of the winding operation there is thus no interference by laterally disposed components, resulting in optimum operating conditions.

  • Patent number: 4917008
Abstract: An elongated strip of baling material has opposite longitudinal edges, each of which includes an elastic element extending in the longitudinal direction of the strip. The width of the strip is greater than the length of the bale so that when the strip is wrapped around a bale, the opposite longitudinal edges of the strip extend radially inwardly to cover the outer peripheral portions of each of the end faces of the bale. The strip is held in place by the elastic elements in the longitudinal edges of the strip to protect the peripheral portions of the end faces of the bale.

  • Patent number: 4788900
Abstract: A round bale press for agricultural stalk material which has a housing defining a pressing chamber with variable volume. The pressing chamber is defined by opposed side walls of the housing and at least one continuous belt within the chamber. The belt is guided by a plurality of cylindrical rollers. At least one stripping device is attached to the housing adjacent one of the rollers which is adjacent to the feeding area. The stripping device consists of a rail with supporting plates on both end sections. On said rail a steel knife blade is mounted for contacting the surface of the roller with uniform contact pressure over the longitudinal extension of the roller surface. At least one clamping device is integrated into the stripping device which is actuatable from outside the housing side walls for bending a central section of the rail relative to the end sections of said rail. A uniform contact pressure between the knife blade and the surface of the roller is achieved.
