Abstract: A optical disc changer assembly comprising an optical disc player and a magazine for holding discs is provided. A disc transporter for transporting discs comprises a carrier to carry a particular disc from the magazine to the disc player for play, and return the disc to its original position after the disc has been played. The disc is seated in the carrier by gravity and makes contact with the carrier only at its rim.
Abstract: A jukebox system to prioritize the playing of a selected recording is provided. A microprocessor-controlled jukebox allows a user to move a selected recording to next on a list to be played, by paying an additional fee.
Abstract: An optical disc changer in which a disc transporter moves a disc from a magazine to an optical disc player for play and then returns the disc to the magazine. An optical counter provides signals to aid in determining the location of the disc transporter with respect to the magazine. A step counter also provides signals to aid in determining the location of the disc transporter with respect to the magazine. The optical counter and step counter cooperate to provide signals to the microcomputer to input the necessary information to the microcomputer for determining the location of the disc transporter in relation to the magazine. The magazine holds discs in a substantially vertical position and the disc transporter moves substantially horizontally with respect to the magazine.

Abstract: An electronic power device for a juke box or the like comprises a highly thermally conductive heat sink defining a first cavity on one side thereof and a second cavity on the other side thereof, with the first and second cavities having a common, thermally conductive wall. A printed circuit board carries substantially non-heat generating components thereon and is located within the first cavity. At least one heat generating electronic component is provided, located in the second cavity. The circuit board and the generating electronic component are in electrical connection through the common, thermally conductive wall.
