Abstract: The comforter includes two substantially identical fabric sections, with lines of attachment between them defining edges of a plurality of side-by-side parallel channels. Baffle members are positioned within each channel, attached to one edge of each channel, but not extending all the way to the opposing edge thereof, wherein the baffle members in any given channel are positioned in a staggered relationship relative to the position of baffle members in adjacent channels.

Abstract: The comforter includes a core portion which includes upper and lower fabric layers with lines of stitching connecting the upper and lower fabric layers and filling within the volumes of the core portion defined thereby. Border portions are attached to the head and foot ends of the core portion, wherein the top edge of the core portion is gathered and the head border portion sewn thereto. The width of the top edge of the core portion is approximately 20-75% wider ungathered than when gathered and sewn to the head border portion. The lower edge of the core portion is approximately 0-50% wider ungathered than when gathered and sewn to the foot border portion. Side border portions are secured to the sides of the core portion and to the opposing ends of the head and foot border portions.

Abstract: The gusseted pillow includes a top fabric section, a bottom fabric section and an intermediate gusset portion, wherein the peripheries of the top and bottom fabric sections are each longer than a total length of the gusset portion. The peripheral edges of the top and bottom fabric sections are attached, respectively, to the opposing edges of the gusset portion, with pleats at the corners of the pillow. The pillow is filled to produce a high loft (puffy) appearance, with the portion of the pillow on opposing sides of the gusset portion being elevated from the gusset portion.
