Abstract: An apparatus and method is disclosed for joining continuously moving materials which must be in registry by monitoring and comparing signals and making adjustments in the feed of the materials. The registry means includes a data cam in the form of a star wheel, with lobes and valleys corresponding to areas on a scrolled cylinder engaging discreet segments of one of the materials.
Abstract: A child-resistant package includes a sealed blister positioned between opposed front and back paperboard sheets that are adhered to each other. The front paperboard sheet includes openings through which the blisters project, and the back paperboard sheet includes a tear strip overlying the blister and being movable in a linear direction to permit its separation from surrounding regions of the back sheet to thereby expose a rupturable backing strip of the sealed blister, there being no other blisters linearly aligned with the linear direction in which the tear strip is movable.
Abstract: Blister packaging of medicaments or the like is accomplished in a succession of discrete stages to provide unit-dose packages in strip form, with one or more blisters per strip. Modular machinery to do so is powered from electrical and pressurized fluid energy sources, and the respective modules abut one another sequentially and conduct the fluid to actuate the various stages.
