Abstract: The invention relates to a system for distributing and dispensing liquids, the system comprising a plurality of re-usable containers, each container comprising a removable closure arranged to engage with a neck of the container, the closure comprising a liquid flow passage extending through the closure; and a dip tube fluidly connected to or forming the liquid flow passage of the closure and extending into the container. The system further comprises a dispensing assembly comprising a dispensing pump, a dispensing tube fluidly connected to the dispensing pump, and a connector arranged to releasably engage with the closure so as to fluidly connect the dispensing tube to the liquid flow passage of the closure. The removable closure is a tamper-proof or tamper-evident closure, arranged to deter or prevent removal of the closure by an unauthorised person. A method for distributing and dispensing liquids using the inventive system is further provided.
Abstract: A manually operated product dispenser includes a user interface which operates via a linkage mechanism on a dispensing mechanism. The linkage mechanism transfers displacement from the user interface to the dispensing mechanism but incorporates resilient means permitting the user interface to be operated to the full extent permitted by the interface, but transmitting to the dispensing mechanism only as much of the operation of the interface required to permit the dispenser mechanism to dispense a predetermined amount of product.
Abstract: The present invention provides a dispenser (1) having a housing (2) containing a replaceable unit (10) whereby the dispenser has a handle (3) comprising a fixed portion (4) and an actuator portion (5) with the handle being mounted at the top of the dispenser, with an outlet of the dispenser located at the bottom of the dispenser. The dispenser (1) in accordance with the present invention permits the dispenser to be carried and operated simultaneously in a vertical position avoiding the need to reorientate the dispenser prior to dispensing a fixed measure of concentrate (12).
Abstract: A storage and drinking container for pressurized beverages includes a drinking vessel 1 having a lip 3 and a lid formed from a cap 5 and retaining ring 12. The cap 5 seals with a surface 4 on the inside neck of the vessel and is retained in place by fingers 8 engaging under a lip 3. The fingers 8 are retained in position by a retaining ring 12. Cooperating sets of cammed surfaces 10 and 13 on cap 5 and ring 12 act on rotation of the ring to axially separate the ring 12 from the cap 5, releasing the fingers 8 from under the lip 3 and permitting the lid to be removed. A drinking vessel with a wide neck can be reliably sealed without the necessity to provide screw threads on the outer surface of the vessel 1.
