Abstract: A system and a method share an experience with media content between multiple devices for providing access to electronic program guide information and/or multimedia metadata of the media content. Users share and/or view the electronic program guide information and/or the multimedia metadata associated with the media content by transferring and/or by publishing the electronic program guide information and/or the multimedia metadata via one or more networks. Two or more participating devices establish a connection via one or more networks for a sending device to transfer the electronic program guide information and/or the multimedia metadata to one or more receiving devices via one or more networks. The electronic program guide information and/or the multimedia metadata has communications and/or comments associated with consumption of the media content.

Abstract: A system and a method transmit data in a first codec from a first terminal to a second terminal. The first terminal establishes a connection with the second terminal and/or transmits, transfers and/or sends the data to the second terminal via the connection between the first terminal and the second terminal. The connection between the first terminal and the second terminal has a first channel and/or a second channel to transmit the data from the first terminal to the second terminal. The first terminal transmits the data in a first codec to the second terminal via the first channel and/or the second channel of the connection without receiving capabilities of and/or intentions from the second terminal. The second terminal may be incapable of receiving, of processing, of accepting and/or of displaying the data in the first codec. The capabilities of and/or the intentions from the second terminal is transmitted to the first terminal via the connection.

Abstract: A system and a method reformat digital broadcast multimedia for a mobile device. The system and the method reformat and/or repackage audiovisual content into a format that may be rendered on the mobile device without the need for additional custom software on the mobile device. The system and the method reformat incoming mobile broadcast audiovisual content into 3GPP Progressive Download format in real time while simultaneously delivering a resulting 3GPP Progressive Download file to the mobile device for rendering.

The media content is available from a content provider via a first network. The system and the method have a first terminal that may be located in a first location or in a second location. The terminal displays, accesses and/or connects to EPG for identifying and/or for accessing the media content. The first location or the second location of the first terminal is identified and/or is determined by the EPG and/or a second terminal in communication with the first terminal and/or the EPG. The first terminal accesses the EPG to identify a first list of media content or a second list of media content which may be consumed by the first terminal in the first location or the second location, respectively. The media content is restricted and/or is supplemented based on the first location or the second location of the first terminal.

Abstract: A method and apparatus automatically manipulates a digitally compressed video bitstream such that the result is compatible with different bandwidth and error resilience requirements at a receiving point in a heterogeneous communication network. The method and device provide for analysis of bitstream header information to determine its relevant coding syntax parameters. Feedback from the receiving point on the network is then used to identify error robustness requirements for an intermediate bitstream. The bitstream is then manipulated by an error robustness regulator to achieve error protection in the network.
