Patent number: 11304484Abstract: A jewelry closure mechanism (e.g., clasp) may include a locking receptacle and a locking pin that operate together to provide a closure mechanism for a piece of jewelry. The closure mechanism may or may not include a hinge. In some implementations, a locking pin may extend from the second arm and be inserted into a locking receptacle formed in a second arm to lock the two components together. The locking receptacle may include one or more wires (e.g., spring and/or precast) that extend transversely to the direction of the locking receptacle. The closure mechanism may be used as a general jewelry closure device and/or to couple segments of jewelry together.Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 2020Date of Patent: April 19, 2022Assignee: PAJ, INC.Inventor: Felix Chen

Patent number: 10492575Abstract: A jewelry clasp includes a lower arm and an upper arm that are hingedly joined to each other at one respective ends thereof. A locking pin is provided adjacent a second end of the upper arm and the locking pin extends toward the respective second end of the lower arm and locked inside a locking receptacle formed adjacent a second distal end of the lower arm. The locking receptacle contains two spring wires that extend transversely to the direction of the locking receptacle, the spring wires being spaced from each other at a distance slightly smaller than the diametrical size of a pin head of the locking pin. Patent number: 6324868Abstract: A user customizable pendant that includes a frame with a hole, a transparent front window, and a back member, which may or may not also be transparent. The front window and back member couple to the frame to form a vessel with an inner cavity. The pendant includes a funnel coupled to the frame, with a hole at the bottom that provides access to the inner cavity ofthe pendant. The user customizes the pendant by placing real or simulated birthstones, other simulated stones, charms, or other small objects into the inner cavity through the funnel such that they are visible through the front window. In one embodiment, the funnel includes two aligned, transverse holes, through which a necklace, bracelet, chain, cord, ribbon, or other structure can be threaded that captures the objects inside the pendant. In another embodiment, the funnel is located at the side, and the pendant may or may not include a plug capable of being removably coupled to the funnel to block the bottom hole.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 1999Date of Patent: December 4, 2001Assignee: PAJ, Inc.Inventors: Felix Yuan-Chi Chen, Joseph A.
