The apparatus comprises a vessel including an inlet for receiving the one or more products and an outlet for discharging the one or more products under sterile and/or pyrogen free conditions. A device is also adapted for applying the closure to the one or more products in the vessel, along with the optional filling and/or weighing of the products before or after applying the closure. Related apparatuses, systems, and methods are disclosed.

Abstract: A disposable material processing apparatus, useable as a bioreactor or fermenter, includes a hollow tank (101) and a mixing paddle (110) disposed within the interior of the tank and adapted to mix contents therein. The paddle may be isolated within a flexible sleeve (140). Various functional elements, such as a sparger, sensor, material extraction conduit, material addition conduit, and/or heat exchange element may be provided, and optionally arranged to travel with the paddle within the tank interior. Baffles may protrude into a mixing tank to enhance mixing. A tank and/or sleeve may comprise polymeric film materials.

Abstract: An apparatus (10) receives an at least partially flexible vessel (14) adapted for receiving a fluid. The apparatus (10) may include an overpack (12) and a partition (16) removably positioned in an interior of the overpack (12). The partition (16) may extend generally transverse to a sidewall (12b) and generally aligned with a floor (12c) of the overpack (12) to form a compartment for receiving the vessel (14). The partition (16) may also form part of a carrier (17) for the vessel (14). A filling station for filling containers (10) is also disclosed, as are related methods.

Abstract: A mixing apparatus including a kinetic energy source, a mixing tank, a pivot guide, and transfer shaft is used to drive a mixing paddle through a circular path within a tank without substantial shaft rotation. Sleeved and sleeveless mixing paddles are provided in combination with sealable mixing tanks. A volumetric compensation system responsive to tank wall deflection is used to maintain the internal volume of a mixing tank within predetermined limits. One mixing apparatus includes multiple mixing shafts and paddles coupled to at least one kinetic energy source. Methods for fabricating sleeved paddle-containing mixing apparatuses are further provided.
