Abstract: Disclosed herein is a portable table having numerous favorable characteristics. The table comprises a tabletop, a column connection, and a column. The tabletop includes a core, a thickness, a perimeter section, and a bottom surface. The column connection is positioned within the thickness of the core and within the tabletop, and includes a flange and a cylindrical sleeve having a first fastener. The column includes an insertion end that includes a second fastener shaped to removably engage the first fastener and secure the column to the column connection. The insertion end is shaped to removably fit within the cylindrical sleeve of the column connection.

Abstract: A lightweight, portable table comprising a unitized table top member and legs secured to the table top member. The unitized table top member includes table top and bottom elements and a rigid support member. A hardened foam body is joined to the top and bottom table elements and is formed around the support member in sufficient volume to support the support member within the table top member. A lightweight core element is positioned within the table top member joined to the hardened foam body. The table advantageously requires few parts and is economical to manufacture yet is sturdy and easily transported.

Abstract: An anti-glide apparatus for use on an institutional folding table comprising an upper member attached to the table and a lower member slidably disposed with respect to the upper member wherein the lower member is free at all times to infinitely extend and retract between limits so as to allow the lower member to make frictional contact with a supporting surface and the upper member is distinct from any of the table supports. The apparatus is pivotally linked to a center leg support of the table whereby the apparatus is substantially perpendicular to the supporting surface when the table is open and substantially parallel to the top of the table when the table is closed.

Abstract: A collapsible table is provided which requires no tools for assembly or disassembly. A free-standing base is comprised of two interlocking I-shaped members. One I-shaped member is permanently and pivotably affixed to the under surface of the tabletop, and the other I-shaped member is entirely removable. In operation, the removable leg member is interconnected with the fixed leg member, and locked down under the table by a height-adjustable locking mechanism. The table is broken down by disengaging the removable leg member from the locking mechanisms, folding down the pivotable leg, placing the removable leg on top of the fixed leg, and locking both down by the same locking means.
