Patents Assigned to Paloma Co., Ltd.
  • Patent number: 9091436
Abstract: In a rich-lean burner, a gap formed between a lean-flame port and a rich-flame port is in fluid communication with a supply passage through which a lean gas is to be supplied to the lean-flame port. One or more projections are provided on at least one of partition plates disposed between the gap and the lean-flame port and between the gap and the rich-flame port. A recessed portion is formed at a region adjacent to the lean-flame ports at an interface between the distal end of at least one of the projections protruding from one of the partition plates and the other of the partition plates, the distal end of the at least one of the projections being partially not in contact with the other of the partition plates to provide a clearance through which the lean gas is allowed to be supplied to the gap.

  • Patent number: 9086010
Abstract: A rich-lean burner includes an inner cylinder to which lean gas, which is a mixture of gas and combustion air, is supplied, and an outer cylinder that is coaxially disposed around the inner cylinder such that rich gas, which is a mixture of gas and combustion air, is supplied between the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder. A burner head, which has small holes and whose diameter decreases toward the leading end, is provided on an opening of the inner cylinder. The burner head is obtained by forming a perforated metal, in which the small holes are arranged in a zigzag manner, into a conical shape. An interval between each of the small holes is two to three times the diameter of the small holes. The total area of the small holes is larger than the area of an upper end opening of an upper inner cylinder.

  • Patent number: 9004017
Abstract: A water heater includes a bypass that is formed, on the side of a water supply pipe, branching from a main water path and bypassing a part of the main water path, and a flow path switching unit (a valve and a stepping motor) that is formed at a branching portion of the main water path and the bypass. The flow path switching unit is controlled by a controller and that can selectively switch a flow path between the main water path and the bypass. A microbubble generator generating microbubbles is provided on the bypass, the microbubble generator including a water agitator portion, a compression portion and a decompression portion. When the controller determines that scale has built up, the flow path is switched to the bypass by the flow path switching unit, and water containing microbubbles is caused to flow inside the water heater.

  • Patent number: 8905015
Abstract: A pulse burner includes: a combustion chamber provided in a liquid vat capable of storing liquid; a tail pipe that is connected to the combustion chamber and has a heat exchanging portion located in the liquid vat and bent in a predetermined shape; and a mixing chamber which communicates with the combustion chamber and to which fuel gas and combustion air is allowed to be supplied. When mixed gas including the fuel gas and the combustion gas is exploded and combusted, the combustion exhaust gas is exhausted through the tail pipe to allow heat exchange with the liquid, and the mixed gas is inhaled from the mixing chamber into the combustion chamber. At least the heat exchanging portion of the tail pipe is bent on a substantially horizontal plane.

  • Patent number: 8875619
Abstract: A fryer, having respective tail pipes of a pulse combustor including: a forward pipe that extends outward and obliquely upward from a left or right side surface of a combustion chamber to reach an inside of a cooking zone, and bends in a C-shape along an inner surface of an oil bath, which is divided into left and right halves, with a return pipe mutually connected to the forward pipe in a U-shape in the back side center of the oil bath. The pipe then bends in a C-shape parallel to the forward pipe along the inner surface, which is divided into left and right halves, and from the upper left or right of the combustion chamber to reach an air chamber whereby in the oil bath, a cooking zone in which cooking oil is heated by the surrounding tail pipes is formed.

  • Patent number: 8733297
Abstract: At the time of starting a hot water discharge operation, a controller determines whether the first operation was made after the power source is switched on in S1, and the controller determines whether 5 minutes have passed after the previous operation in S2. When the first operation was not made or 5 minutes have lapsed after the last operation, the controller determines whether a difference between a detected temperature acquired by a thermistor and a preset temperature is more than 10° C. in S3. When a temperature difference is more than 10° C., a water flow rate servo is set at a position where a flow rate of flowing water is reduced from a determined flow rate by a predetermined amount in S4, and the controller performs a temperature control of discharged hot water in S8.

  • Patent number: 8662022
Abstract: A water healer including a controller that, in a non-operation state, determines whether the first operation was made after a power source is switched on in S1, and determines whether 5 minutes has passed after finishing the last operation in S2. When the first operation was not made or 5 minutes have lapsed after the last operation, the controller determines whether a difference between a detected temperature acquired by a thermistor and a preset temperature is more than 10° C. in S3. When a temperature difference is more than 10° C., a water flow rate servo is made to stand by at a position with a flow rate of flowing water reduced to less than a determined flow rate by a predetermined amount in S4. When a hot water faucet is opened in this standing by state, a temperature control of discharged hot water at the time of starting of an operation is performed with the reduced flow rate of flowing water.
