  • Patent number: 7810456
Abstract: To provide a storage water heater capable of increasing thermal efficiency and quickly boiling when tap water is supplied into a hot-water tank. A storage water heater can heat low-temperature water having a high density because hot water in a hot-water tank is led from a lead-in pipe positioned at the bottom of the hot-water tank to a gas heater. Also, a water supply pipe outlet and a lead-in pipe inlet are provided so as to be opposed to each other on the same axis. Therefore, when tap water is supplied from a water supply pipe, the tap water lower in temperature than the hot water in the hot-water tank is preferentially led to the gas heater. With this, hot water at the lowest temperature in the hot-water tank can be selectively heated, thereby increasing thermal efficiency.

Abstract: To provide a storage water heater capable of increasing thermal efficiency and quickly boiling when tap water is supplied into a hot-water tank. A storage water heater 1 can heat low-temperature water having a high density because hot water in a hot-water tank 10 is led from a lead-in pipe 18 positioned at the bottom of the hot-water tank 10 to a gas heater 51. Also, a water supply pipe outlet 15 and a lead-in pipe inlet 19 are provided so as to be opposed to each other on the same axis. Therefore, when tap water is supplied from a water supply pipe 14, the tap water lower in temperature than the hot water in the hot-water tank 10 is preferentially led to the gas heater 51. With this, hot water at the lowest temperature in the hot-water tank 10 can be selectively heated, thereby increasing thermal efficiency.

  • Patent number: 6076271
Abstract: A garbage disposer for deodorizing and drying of garbage. A processing tank containing garbage is heated through the implementation of a heater, and thereby the temperatures in the processing tank and the heating chamber are raised and the water contained in the garbage is evaporated. When a predetermined period of time has passed, from the start of the heating of the processing tank, a fan and heater are prompted into operation and the gas in the heating chamber, which contains a large quantity of steam, flows into a condensing section where the gas is cooled as it flows through the fin tube and the dew point of the gas is lowered; and the steam contained in the gas is condensed into water. The remaining gas is then returned to the heating chamber through a returning pipe, where the gas is heated to a high temperature. The condensed water is collected in a condensing section and the collected water flows into a discharge pipe whereby the water is discharged to the outside of the garbage disposal.

  • Patent number: 5875649
Abstract: The absorption chamber of an absorption-type air-conditioning apparatus is formed as a vertically oriented cylinder having an inner surface on which absorption liquid is dispensed for absorbing water vapor or coolant vapor. A guide structure is installed at the inner surface of the cylinder to lead the absorption liquid to the inner surface of the cylinder and to spread the absorption liquid over substantially all of the inner surface of the cylinder. The guide structure may be in the form of a mesh lath rolled into a cylindrical shape and installed against the inner surface of the cylinder or a helical coil installed against the inner surface of the cylinder and having a plurality of grooves formed on an outer surface of the coil to allow a portion of the absorption liquid flowing on an upward-facing surface of the coil to flow vertically downward to portions of the inner surface of the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 5857354
Abstract: An air-cooled absorption-type air conditioning apparatus performs both cooling and heating operations. The apparatus includes circulation pipes through which a thermal medium flows, the thermal medium being for controlling room air temperature. Further included in the apparatus are outer pipes provided concentrically and outside of sections of the circulation pipes to form chambers between the circulation pipes and the outer pipes. The outer pipes have fins on external surfaces of the outer pipes, and the fins are arranged in a substantially vertical orientation. Also included in the apparatus are a fan for circulating air over the outer pipes, first spray mechanisms for dispensing a liquid coolant over outer surfaces of the circulation pipes in the chambers formed between the circulation pipes and the outer pipes, and second spray mechanisms for dispensing an absorption liquid onto inner surfaces of the outer pipes in the chambers, the absorption liquid being for absorbing the liquid coolant.

  • Patent number: 5819553
Abstract: An absorption-type air-conditioning apparatus includes an overflow pipe connecting a phase separator and an absorption chamber. When the apparatus begins operation, and the pressure differential between the phase separator and the evaporation chamber is insufficient to cause the absorption liquid to flow smoothly via dispenser nozzles into the absorption chamber, excessive accumulation of absorption liquid in the phase separator is prevented by allowing the excess liquid to bypass the nozzles via the overflow pipe. When the temperature of the absorption liquid in the phase separator increases so that the pressure differential between the phase separator and the absorption chamber is increased, the overflow pipe is closed, and normal operation of the apparatus proceeds.

  • Patent number: 5802866
Abstract: An air-cooled absorption-type air-conditioning apparatus in which a simple design allows for heating and cooling and in addition in which freezing is prevented during the heating operation. A liquid coolant from the condenser is dripped onto the inner surface of the outer pipes in the evaporation-absorption chambers and removes the evaporation heat due to evaporation in low pressure. Therefore, the outer pipes are cooled. Overcooling of the outer pipes is prevented by a fan which directs the heat generated at the condenser to the outer pipes. The evaporated coolant is absorbed in the high-concentration liquid on the outer surface of the water pipes and the absorption heat generated by the high-concentration liquid heats the water flowing in the water pipes. A room unit performs the heating or cooling operation by using warm or chilled water circulating in the water pipes.

  • Patent number: 5769622
Abstract: A gas combustion apparatus comprises a burner, a thermal electric power generation element that uses the burner's combustion to produce a thermoelectromotive force, a voltage boosting circuit that raises the voltage of the thermoelectromotive force by the oscillation of an oscillation unit and a storage battery that is charged by the voltage-increased thermoelectromotive force. The oscillation unit consists of free running multivibrators and oscillates in dependence on the resistance of a positive temperature coefficient thermistor. If the positive temperature coefficient thermistor reaches a prescribed temperature or shorts out and fails, its resistance value changes and the oscillator unit stops its oscillation, whereby in the voltage boosting circuit the voltage rise stops, and electromagnetic safety valve closes.
