  • Patent number: 7260065
Abstract: A data communication apparatus includes a communication section that performs pre-communication protocol to exchange a communication function with a communication destination terminal, and transmits data to the communication destination terminal after the pre-communication protocol. A detector detects whether or not the communication destination terminal can perform a short protocol in which at least a communication protocol for line probing is omitted. When the detector detects that the communication destination terminal can perform the short protocol, a controller obtains communication parameters from the communication destination terminal, stores the obtained communication parameters in a memory in association with the communication destination terminal. The stored communication parameters are utilized to perform the short protocol.

  • Patent number: 7245393
Abstract: A facsimile apparatus transmits facsimile data converted from e-mail data to a facsimile destination via a public communication network. A receiver receives the e-mail data from a requesting node. A memory stores a password and a domain name of a requesting node. An acquiring section acquires a destination address including at least a telephone number, a password and a domain name, from the requesting node. A converter converts the e-mail data into facsimile data. A comparator compares the password and the domain name acquired by the acquiring section, with the password and the domain name stored in the memory, respectively. A facsimile transmitter transmits the converted facsimile data to the facsimile destination designated by the telephone number when a result of the comparison indicates that the password and the domain name acquired are the same as the password and the domain name stored in said memory.

  • Patent number: 7170509
Abstract: A hard disk stores a CAD file having 3-D data that relates to an assembly product comprised of a plurality of parts. Based on this 3-D data of an assembly product, a parts data retriever retrieves 3-D data for each part. According to this 3-D data for each part, a bitmap output unit generates 2-D bitmap image data illustrating the part image, which is viewed from a predetermined direction. Moreover, using the 2-D data of the part, a management data generator generates a management table describing steps to output an assembly scene on a screen. A file having this management table and a file having 2-D data are then delivered to a PC for assembly scene output, in order to output the assembly scene.

  • Patent number: 7155522
Abstract: PC broadcasts a search packet on a network (ST505), and waits for the response (ST506). A network scanner receives the search packet and determines whether or not the received search packet is a group name to be responded (ST507). When determining it as the group name to be responded, the network scanner sends back a search response packet to PC (ST509). When receiving the search response packet, PC transmits a registration packet to the network scanner. When receiving the registration packet, the network scanner extracts user terminal information from the registration packet (ST511) and registers it to address notebook data (ST512). After that, the network scanner transmits a registration response packet to PC (ST513).
