  • Patent number: 8558956
Abstract: An image display system comprises red, green and blue laser light sources, a spatial light modulator that modulates the laser light of different colors in a time sharing manner and a controller that controls the operation of the laser light sources and the spatial light modulator. The green and red laser light sources are lit in this order in each frame. The green color is diminished due to the response delay of the spatial light modulator, but the green laser light produced by the green laser light source has a relatively large color phase shift from the standard green color so that the shortage of green color cancels the color phase shift of the generated green color so that the color phase shift of the displayed intermediate color can be minimized.

  • Patent number: 8559787
Abstract: A Browsable SlideShow is recorded on a BD-ROM. The Browsable SlideShow includes a video stream, an audio stream and PlayList information. The video stream and the audio stream are recorded on separate areas on an optical disc. The PlayList information includes a plurality of pieces of PlayItem information, each of which has an In_time and an Out_time which specify a single piece of picture data in the video stream and a Still_time indicating a period during which the piece of picture data is still-displayed. A still period indicated by the Still_time is a length of time that is longer than or equal to a VBV-delay when reading a subsequent piece of picture data to an Elementary Buffer 5 of a playback apparatus. The VBV-delay is based on the time required for seeking between the separate areas and reading the audio stream.

  • Patent number: 8559965
Abstract: It is possible to provide a radio communication system, a radio base station device, and a radio terminal device capable of reducing the power consumption in a radio terminal device without thinning pilot signals used for measuring upstream line quality. In the radio base station device (100) used in a radio communication system using different frequency bands for the upstream line and the downstream line, an upstream line pilot generation unit (115) forms a CQI measuring pilot signal and an upstream line RF unit (105) transmits the communication quality measuring pilot signal by using the upstream line use frequency band in the upstream line pilot transmission section. Thus, the upstream communication quality measuring pilot signal used by the radio base station device (100) to measure the line quality is transmitted by using the upstream line frequency band and accordingly, it is possible to reduce the power consumption in the radio terminal device.

  • Patent number: 8560090
Abstract: There is provided a monitor and control apparatus capable of enlarging a volume of a body, while ensuring a space for routing signal lines between a rear face of the body and a bottom surface of a mounting hole. The body 5 has a rear face including: a first face having terminal sections protruded; and a second face protruded backwardly relative to the first face by a stepped portion. An internal space of the body on the second face side is enlarged backwardly more than that on the first face side. The stepped portion is formed in the middle of the rear face of the body in the horizontal direction, which defines a right-half portion as the first face, and a left-half portion as the second face.

  • Patent number: 8559789
Abstract: A playback device that creates a virtual package by combining a structural element recorded on a BD-ROM with an additional content recorded on a removable medium. The middleware in the playback device is provided with a file I/O module 34 that controls data input/output of the removable medium, in accordance with a request from an application program. When a BD-J application requests writing the structural element of the virtual package and the additional content to be written is an AV stream, the file I/O module 34 writes the structural element into one or more allocation units composed of a plurality of continuous empty logical blocks in the removable medium. When the additional content to be written is not an AV stream, it writes the additional content into a normal data area that is composed of a plurality of separately scattered empty blocks in the removable medium.

  • Patent number: 8558871
Abstract: Inconsistency between a left-view video image and a right-view video image possibly occurs in a playback device having a function of switching between a monoscopic playback mode for monoscopically playing back video images and a stereoscopic playback mode for stereoscopically playing back video images. The present invention aims to prevent such inconsistency when switching from the monoscopic playback mode to the stereoscopic playback mode. Specifically, the present invention prevents the inconsistency by invalidating a rendering request which is Graphics#drawImage, copying a content stored in the left-view graphics plane to a right-view graphics plane, switching a graphics plane setting after the copying, and then removing prohibition of a rendering request which is StereoGraphics#drawImage.
