Abstract: A method of manufacturing a three-dimensionally shaped object by irradiating a metallic material with light beams, wherein the metallic material is supplied at a high density to increase the density and the strength of the three-dimensionally shaped object. The method of manufacturing a three-dimensionally shaped object comprises: an irradiation step of irradiating a metal mesh (2) formed of metal wires and a powder layer (3) formed of metal powder with light beams (L) to form a solidified layer or molten layer; and a laminating step of repeatedly performing the irradiation step for metal meshes to form a three-dimensionally shaped object. In the method, both of the metal mesh (2) and the metal powder are supplied in combination as the metallic material.

Abstract: A battery pack for a power tool of self-contained over-charge protection is proposed. The battery pack includes a battery stack composed of a plurality of series connected secondary cells, and a charge terminal connected through a charge current path to the battery stack for flowing a charge current from a charger. The battery pack includes an interrupter inserted in the charge current path, and an over-charge detector which detects a cell voltage across each of the secondary cells and actuates the interrupter to open the charge current path when any one of the cell voltages becomes higher than a predetermined threshold (VTH3). Thus, even if the charger fails to limit the charge current, the battery pack can itself protect the secondary cells from being over-charged.
Abstract: Disclosed is an electrostatic atomizer, which comprises a high-voltage applying section adapted to apply a high voltage between an atomizing electrode and a counter electrode so as to electrostatically atomize water supplied onto the atomizing electrode, wherein the high-voltage applying section is operable to set an absolute value of a voltage to be applied to the atomizing electrode smaller than an absolute value of a voltage to be applied to the counter electrode. This allows a physical object, such as an article stored in a mist-receiving space or an inner wall of a structural member defining the mist-receiving space to become less likely to be electrostatically charged, and makes it possible to avoid causing a problem about discomfort due to discharge of static charges when a user touches the physical object.
Abstract: In an electrodeless discharge lamp (1) which is lit with PWM light control, a discharge gas including krypton is filled in a bulb (10), so that restriking voltage can be decreased and thus, and oscillation of the ferrite core (22) which is inserted inside of a cavity (5) of the bulb (10) can be decreased, and thus, occurrence of undesired sound can be restrained.
Abstract: An epoxy resin composition for printed wiring board, characterized by containing (A) an epoxy resin component containing an epoxy resin (A-1) having nitrogen and bromine atoms in the same molecule, (B) a phenolic curing agent component containing a phenol resin (B-1), and (C) a curing accelerator component containing an imidazole-silane compound (C-1).
Abstract: A system for selectively controlling electrical outlets using power profiling is disclosed. There is a plurality of electrical outlets that each comprises a power socket capable of receiving a plug, an outlet identification and a switch that when in a first position no power is available at the power socket, and when the switch is in a second position power is available at the power socket. A controller is in electronic communication with the plurality of electrical outlets. The controller includes a processor and memory in electronic communication with the processor. The controller also includes power profiles and operates to receive data from an electrical outlet of the plurality of electrical outlets. A device or class of device is identified based on the received data. A power profile is identified based on the received data. Action is taken based on the power profile.
